How does your game fit the theme?
In my game, you play as a robot who was built to scale a mountain with 4 different biomes. The mountain is also huge and randomly generated! Visit the games page for controls and download instructions!

lmfao we had similar ideas theme-wise i see. the grappling hook was probably my favourite feature, i literally never used the mining feature since i didn't see the need to. cool game lol

Developer(+1)

Thanks! The mining feature is mostly for the later areas were the moles are extremely op lol. Glad you thought it was cool :)

Lovely and nice music too :3

I found out while playing that you can send your grapple hook onto nothing and still pull yourself up, doing so repeatedly lets you fly which was probably not intended haha

Developer

I actually discovered this as well, and decided to leave it in because it was pretty fun lol. So technically it is intended! Also, glad you liked my music.

you can jump endless if you stand next to the invisible wall at the start of the game

Developer (1 edit)

I discovered this also, but decided to leave it in, because if you want to kill the final boss, your going to need a lot of upgrades, so it doesn't really help you lol. Thanks for the feedback though :)

I see we went the same way with the theme haha. I liked the mining aspect, always wanted to try implementing a system like that.

Developer

Thanks! I think it works pretty well with the grapple hook and general movement.

Very nice! very fun to climb, i liked how the grapping hook added more height to difficult jumps.

Developer

Thank you! I spent a lot of the time working on the experience of climbing a randomly generated mountain!

Interesting idea, I found it fun to mine blocks, the grappling hook didn't seem to work properly though, I like the style, I fell out the map at the far right side but the game is nice I like the music and sounds good job! :)

Developer (2 edits) (+1)

Thanks. The grapple hook does work, you just need to use R or 4MB to use it. Consider reading the controls on the games page. also, falling out of the right side is a bug lol. the moon is supposed to catch you and take you to outer space! If you do another playthrough, just jump off the right side and it should work. also, thanks for the feedback. I'm glad you likes my music.

yeah I could shoot the grapple out but it didn't pull me anywhere or maybe I misunderstood the mechanic, anyway cool game!

thanks :)

really cool interpretation of the theme!  its really cool that you managed to get random generation into a jam game.  would love to see post-jam polish (esp on the controls as they feel kinda floaty) because the abilities on the robot are really neat

Developer

Thanks! The reason the controls feel floaty is because it compliments the grapple hook mechanic, and also because the acceleration/deceleration makes running on the ground way more fun!

I really liked how the music changed when you reached the new block texture!

Developer

Thanks! I made all of the music myself, so I'm glad you liked it!

very cool idea, i love the little robot guy.  one thing i would like to see improved is the character controls since they feel very floaty. Love the game

Developer

Thank you very much! I have noticed the floatyness of the character, and will probably change it at some point. Glad you enjoyed :)
