Cool game. Needs a little balancing tho, if you don't save up for the following levels you get destroyed. Overall well done!

Thanks! Yeah, that was a funny point of concern. At one point we intended to make it more obvious that you needed to save money. Originally your health pool was also money so there was a different push-pull dynamic to keep from spending it all. Thanks for playing!

Would have liked to see the theme incorporated more into the game. Maybe you could you scale towers. enemies or sections of the map?

Yes! There were ideas for a game where this was "level 1" with a zoom out to a higher level. Unfortunately we didn't go fast enough and decided we'd rather have something that functioned than a large scoped game that was busted. Thanks for playing!

You should probably set the default texture filter to nearest if you want your pixel art to not look blurry
(i assume you're using godot 4, i recognize the initial loading screen when you run the game)

It's a very solid tower defense game! I'm not sure how it relates to the Jam theme. It's just a tower defense game 😅

But it's well executed! Congrats!

Thanks! We originally envisioned a substantially more expansive game that incorporated the theme (we wanted to zoom out and make individual levels "tile" in a super level/meta sense) but up against the clock those elements turned out to be much more development effort and we instead debugged issues with the base game until it was playable. Thanks for playing!

It started way to fast without a heads up but once i got the flow into things, yeah we were cooking some spice. It was great.
