Once I realized how to charge up the spells I found this incredibly satisfying. That's a ton of work and the team should be proud of what they created.

Came for the cute anime girl. Stayed for a gameplay. I wish there was a little more juice and audio but overall solid game.

Really cool survivor-like game, especially if it's your first game jam. I liked the artstyle and you had nice ideas for skills.  Shame that you didn't add sound effects in time as they always enhance experience. Also would be nice if you added some visual indicator of what is character going to cast. Game was enjoyable. Good job!

Thanks ! It was indeed our first game jam

Nicely done on finishing a game for the gamejam! it is not easy to do so in such a short time. I enjoyed the visuals and art style of the game. I do agree with some of the commends the game apart from the different powers don’t really give you any reason to keep playing. Keep it up :)

Developer

Thanks !

Wonderful visual style. A little bit of game juice would do nicely here.

The one big issue is gameplay depth. While i did enjoy finding out what each of the abilities look like, the game did not compel me to keep playing beyond that. Functionally the differences between the abilites were too small.

Still, a submission to be proud of. Well done!

Thanks for the feedback!!

Works very well for a jam game. Design wise it would really need enemies that have to be defeated using different strategies though, I quickly found out there was no reason to not keep using the first scaled up water spell since it was easily most effective option against everything all the time since the enemies behave the same way. Maybe separate mana resources for the different elements would help too? So you would be more forced to use the other options as well!

Thanks for the feedback! We will definitely put more thought into our gameplay and more time on playtesting on the next game jam.

Big fan of the fish

really good art style and game feel--don't understand how you managed to polish a game so much in some senses and then do no music or audio at all, but it feels to me like you're playing to your talents well

Developer(+1)

Thanks ! It was our first game jam, and we were maybe a bit too ambitious and there was no time left to add music/SFX

Cute game! You did a great job making all the arcanes feel unique! I did notice lots of enemies getting stuck outside the field which was a lot of inaccessible potions and shards though. Nice job overall!

I liked the artstyle of this game, and also the part where I was running around and collecting upgrades! The water upscale was really satisfying to use! Now, this could be my fault, but I often just kinda didn't see the shards dropping. Again, could just be that I'm blind.

Great little game!
