Amazing concept. It had me hooked for a solid 30 mins straight. Simple but perfectly executed with near infinite scaling and replayability. The only thing I could say is to add camera zoom or some way to help the player attach the modules when your build gets big as it became difficult to attach new unlocks past level 30 haha. One of the most fun games I've played this jam. Really well done!

Wooo! This game is by far the most entertaining I've played during this GJAM. The scaling IS REAL. My only gripe with it is that it doesn't have a reset button or custom timer! I definitely need hours of this game without resetting. It got so entertaining I was building an extra modular hexagon to house more upgrades without yet using them and then I just finished the game... Very simple ideas that compounded work extremely well. This is AWESOME. I wish Fish Swarmer was as good...

Really cool idea and executed well! I had a ton of fun building up crazy contraptions to fight off the enemies. And it felt like all the parts were working as intended and I could combine them any way I see fit. Very well done!

Some polish would have made the game feel a lot better. But I understand the time constraint. But just some knock back when I hit an enemy, or having them flash to white real quick when they take damage would have gone a long way IMO.

I'd also love to see some more varied parts. Maybe you could add parts that provide a shield, or parts that make you move faster, have more health, etc...

Thanks for reviewing Cell Life!

Man i love this idea! Being able to build up your robot is really cool, and it's a great feeling seing it all come together and destroy the enemies! There are still some balancing issues (laser i way better than knife, getting only connectors to choose from 3 times in a row when you're being overwhelmed by enemies is quite frustrating) and some bugs (sometimes you just can't get those parts to connect, and i don't know if it is intentional but you can set up stationary 'attack-stations' by just not connecting some components to the main body), but if you polish this up it could be amazing!

Good spin on the survivor formula! I love synergies, and this game is all about them!

Maybe I didn't get so far, but I would have loved to have just one more weapon iteration. Maybe something that works on range.

Surprised by how intuitive you made the whole building system. I am sure it was not an easy task. Thanks for working on this!

Might not be that polished, but the game design and concept is so creative and hilarious that I can't help but have fun! Nice game!

Solid game, liked it. Some things could be better like varying some enemies and other things of that sort though.

Like the idea, but the UI is kinda difficult to get used to. Multiple times I couldn't attach a new thing. Also it suggested me weapons while having no weapon spots left which was kinda odd.

this is such a wild ratio of game design quality over polish quality. there's no sound and the UI is really wonky, so i can't give you style points. BUT! this is so silly and so fun and an absolute joy to mess around with. you took a genre that was amazing for how much it succeeded despite offering so little player expression and then stuck sandbox building mechanics in it. in a weird way this was probably the most fun ive had playing a survivors-style game

Very, very nice concept, GG!
Basic style, but very cool idea.
