I really enjoyed this and feel like it would be a great arcade style game! I liked that it sometimes became advantageous to sacrifice parts of the ship so that you could expand farther. I would love to see this game expanded!
It was a bit difficult at first, but after a few tries it ended up being the "there's no way I can't do better next time" difficult rather than the "this is too frustrating" difficult, which is always a good thing.
It's a concept that can be polished and expanded and if you decide to do that one of the things I would do first would be to have a better onboarding: presenting the concepts gradually + lowering the difficulty a bit at first and ramping it up after.
The concept is fun and I think you'll get many more people playing it if the barrier to entry isn't that high.

Yeah, other people already pointed out that start can be difficult if you have bad rng with enemies, but if you push through hard start - game becomes easy

As the commentators below have already said, the beginning is difficult, then it becomes normal and then it becomes too easy (spamming guns and spinning in one direction makes the game very easy). It would be great, If you change the difficulty curve.
Otherwise, the game is great, I did not notice any bugs, the controls are good, the style is beautiful, the ship creation is interesting!

Yes, if you get good RNG with enemy spawns at the start - game becomes easy if you spam guns, however if beginning forces you to sacrifice modules to protect the core - you module placement becomes more chaotic and interesting
Realy had fun playing the game, the concept of building your ship and getting bigger is realy cool. Of course the game needs a bit of balancing, but I'm probably gonna play It even after the game jam ends. It's realy good.

I had the most fun with your game out of any other games I played so far. It was a rough start with the rotation speed and I didn't know what to put first but with time everything worked out. Maybe expand on the idea after the jam? It could become a very polished and full game!

I'm not experienced developer at all (and horrible game designer), but if I get some more positive comments from other people i would consider expanding on this game, I already have some thoughts on it.

I love this game, and will probably continue to play it after the jam. The idea of building my ship is so fun. I would say the base rotation speed is a bit slow, and the hit registration is a bit unforgiving, but I'm already getting addicted and I will probably keep a tab of this open to see how long I can go!

I had some trouble at first because of the small turning rate and I thought I'd do best with a gun as the first module, but it turns out spamming collectors is really helpful especially early on. Gun spam is secondary :D
Great game, would probably benefit from having a bit of a faster initial turn rate, but I really enjoyed it!
Thank you! Yes, collectors are must have, and guns are mostly a better weapon, but i didn't have enough time to playtest the game, so yeah...
In my opinion best runs occur when you place modules in panic trying to defend yourself
