How does your game fit the theme?
Each level is 'Built to Scale'. You start out small, only being able to push the smaller blocks. Once you solve each level once you learn how to scale up your character. This allows you to pass back through the levels, interacting with them on a different scale!

I like the concept though I'm not a fan of the box push only kind of puzzle games, its very prone to failure from the player's side if not careful and will be forced to restart the level. Honestly though this game either needs pulling or an undo mechanic, I would spend so much time setting up a solution only to notice that I didn't give enough space for my character to grow and push the bigger boxes.
I took my time solving the puzzles and it was genuinely fun, its just the moment I restarted the third time in the first big blocks level that I had to stop cause too much time was spent, thank you for making this game.
Hey! Thanks for playing. I never actually considered an undo mechanic but that would definitely be something it would benefit from.
I did feel one or two of the levels were a bit too long but getting the game concept working too me longer than expected so level design was less considered than I'd like it to have been.
Thanks for playing and for the feedback!
The initial concept is fun, the simple visuals work well to distinguish the colored blocks and I like the look of the little character!
I expected the game to progress after the 4th level with puzzles that use the new scale ability. I thought I messed up by going back and stopped playing because level 3 was so long and tedious and I didn't want to do it again.
I only realised that was intended when I read the "How does your game fit the theme?" Is the idea that you go back to the old levels bigger and move stuff around for fun? It would have been cool if the scaleability was needed in those levels to progress as it feels like the game doesn't use the theme otherwise.
Really well done making it tho I enjoyed playing it!
Hey! Thanks so much for playing. Yeah you're right. Each level has two goals, one relating to the coloured blocks and then one relating to the grey (large) boxes. So the intended path is playing through each level left to right solving them using the coloured blocks, learning how to scale up and then going back through them.
I planned to put in something simple like an arrow pointing back to the previous level but it really came down to the wire with bugs and I completely forgot!
If you're interested in giving them a go as a scaled up builder you can always load the game back up and try them without having to complete level 3 again. You can always scale up if you know how to!
Thanks again for playing!
Ah, that's really cool actually! I'll go back and play it! Didn't realise there was that goal at that point
Seems like a fun time but I am stuck on level 1. Is the hint supposed to be a mirrored version of the layout? I tried placing the two blocks in the corresponding place and went to the right gate but it didn't let me through
Hey! Thanks for giving the game a go. Yeah so the hint shows you how the level needs to be completed. You only need to look at how the coloured blocks are in relation to the others. So on level one you need to push the two blocks together and then head to the gate. This should open up the door. If it isn't opening up the door then I'm on trouble! On level one you should be able to just move right until the blocks are pushed together, go around them and open the gate. Let me know if that doesn't work for you!
