How does your game fit the theme?
The player can inflate himself with the help of gas canisters, which increases his size and makes it difficult to enter tight passages.

Dan is a silly  guy. Nice

Developer

Yes he is a bit silly.

I enjoyed this. A fun concept, but as mentioned by others, a little frustrating starting over when you mess up and get stuck.

Developer

Thanks!

Using air to inflate things and propel yourself is certainly an interesting mechanic for a platformer! Even in the small number of levels, I was able to enjoy the various implementations of the main mechanic. I also like how the amount of pumps from the gas canisters are limited to one use, encouraging the player to be more strategic with how they use their puffs of air.

I have similar criticisms as previous comments, the main one being that I wish there was a reset button. Since the game was short, it didn't bother me that much, but it would be welcome in a longer version of the game. Also, during the boosting tutorial section, you could get stuck on the bottom and forced to reset due to placement of platforms.

I think this concept could be taken in many unique and interesting directions. I'm curious what other level ideas could come from it! :)

Thank you! Will definitely take your feedback into consideration.

This is very fun to play and very creative :)

Developer

Thank you!

Hah, I went with a very similar idea, but failed to nail the basic platformer mechanics in time, so in the end I was left with nothing to submit. From that perspective it feels a bit odd to mention what everyone already did, the restart mechanics. I'm sure with a little more time you would also realize that it's way too harsh for a puzzle game. The only thing I can add that in most of the cases there is no need for a restart at all. With a bit more refinement on the levels, the player could just walk back to the beginning of every challenge instead of sitting on the bottom of an inescapable pit.

Also, I got stuck here, and being on the 4th level after a pretty difficult dash (at least for my old reflexes) with a full restart system I couldn't convince myself to continue.

Developer

Yes I agree. I wanted to implement a proper restart system, but I didnt have the time.

The restarting from the beginning was very frustrating.  Nice concept though!

Developer

Thank you!

This is a cool twist on the concept! Its charming and i love the idea of having to transfer the gas to complete puzzles. I think my only issue is having a full game restart every time i messed up a puzzle. But that aside, it was super fun and worth a play

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

This was a fun take on the theme! The character controls and restarting from the beginning made it a bit frustrating, but the puzzles were clever and I enjoyed it. Well done!

Developer

Thank you!

Cool idea, a easy way to restart a puzzle would have been great, got stuck often, but otherwise good entry, good luck with the jam:)

Developer

Thanks for playing my game!

A cute little puzzle-platformer with a unique 'inflate' mechanic. I would recommend looking into implementing Coyote Time and Jump Buffering to make the platforming feel a little smoother. And it would be great if the restart just restarts the current room, rather than the whole game. I got pretty far, but then used up the air canisters and restarted, thinking it would just do the room. So restarting the whole game was unexpected and disheartening.

But overall, this is a great start! Good work!

Thank you for the feedback! I will look into implementing them soon (if i have time).
