Awesome puzzle concept! Like someone else had said, I definitely agree that an undo feature is a must!

Developer

Thanks so much! I will try to get that in post-jam.

The sense of scale was very interesting! When I broke out of the boundaries that was a very cool moment for me. There are two features on my wishlist

1. An undo button like in baba is you. It was tedious to remember what steps I've already done when I had to reset

2. I think it would have been cute if the blocks could make shapes. I understand you don't want "One solution" but it would still be cute if each finale had like a retro video game theme. Where you're building something to a much larger scale, like a pixel Mario or a space invaders alien!

Great game! Very challenging!

Thanks so much for the feedback! The undo button is definitely something I want to implement, I just didn't have time. The retro shapes idea is a good one! Maybe I can figure out a way to do that. Thanks for playing!

Yea! Don't get me wrong! This is amazing in 48-96 hours! You def nailed the sense of scale!

Wow what a brilliant idea. Puzzle games always have a hurdle - they need to be confusing and challenging to give a rewarding gameplay loop, but not feel like bashing your head against a wall, or require lots of explaining. This does not fall over that hurdle at all. Easy to understand, but seriously hard as it went on.

The first try of each puzzle felt impossible though, as only by playing through the level did the puzzle become clear by seeing what blocks go green, and having the camera zoom out. I wonder if we could have the camera zoomed out to start, and those blocks could be numbered or something to let us know ahead of time? Nonetheless, that was a real joy, and felt super rewarding to complete a stage.

Developer

Thanks so much for the feedback! I do think I need to revisit the camera scale and adjust it a bit. Blocks only turn green when their area is less than or equal to the player's area, which I maybe need to do a better job of communicating. But I'm glad you enjoyed it!

This was a really fun and creative game! I ended up getting stuck on one of the 2-x levels but it was a lot of fun! Great job and really enjoyable

I loved this game, it was very relaxing to play and challenging in all the right ways :) The puzzles scaled appropriately so at no point did I feel overwhelmed, even if the puzzle got hard. I love the vibe it makes me think of old game boy games with the sound effects. Great job :)

I loved your game so much! I spent a really, really long time on the last three puzzles. Ultimately I could not figure them out, but I was fully engaged the whole time. Your game is really fun, congratulations!

This is very clever and great interpretation of the theme! I love the first moment when you realize that the boundaries can be used, and the realization that your starting size is actually very small. That gave off some katamari vibes but in a puzzle game :)

Developer

Wow, thank you so much! Katamari vibes were definitely one of the things I was going for!

A simple idea that expands into complex puzzles? Sounds good to me! Nice work!

Really good idea! It's simple and the levels are very well designed. I had real aha moments at the beginning, but the difficulty speeds up pretty fast. Mabye the small camera was intentional, but it kind of sucked when i had no idea how to build my blocks at the start. Overall enjoyed the game. Well done creating a very original game!

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much for playing! I'll have to play around with the camera a bit to see if there is a better starting size.

What a great game! All the puzzles were really good, difficulty ramp was perfect - kept it engaging the whole time. Enjoyed it the whole way through, and quite a unique idea, well done!

I loved this game!

The puzzles where hard but also fun to play (except like one level on the second world that made me say really bad things)

Sadly the graphics is not amazing, but i understand some limitations :((

Tho the rest of the game was amazing, the music fits pretty well with the game, good job!

Level 1-2 was the most interesting! The game overall reminds me a lot of the GMTK 21 winner, "Sleepy Blocks." Good job.

Developer

Thanks so much, I'll have to check that one out!

I love the gameplay! And the levels evolvs so fast. That's what I expect from a puzzle game!

Thank you for the treat and inspiration!

This game is incredible. It takes a common-ish concept and it does a lot of extremely clever things with it, and I love the faux-Atari 2600 aesthetic the game has, too.

My only real gripe with it is the lack of an undo feature, but that doesn't take away from how good the game is. I honestly think it should be covered by a puzzle game Youtuber, it's that high quality.

Developer(+1)

Wow, thank you so much for the kind words! An undo feature was definitely something I wanted to do, but just ran out of time for, so I will definitely try to add it post-jam. Thanks again for playing!

Simple rules and gameplay, but some of these puzzles are really difficult. I loved it when you starting using the walls of the levels as part of the puzzles, and nice touch with saved levels and faster movement as you get bigger!

Developer

Thanks so much! I'm glad you noticed the faster movement, that was pretty important to keep it from becoming a waiting game when you scaled up a lot.
