Pretty neat game, difficult yet cool mechanics which making even first level hard, enjoyed it!
I enjoyed the gameplay and concept, although I found the controls a little fiddly. I would throw the shuriken, then walk over to it to throw again, but half the time, my guy would just swing away. That is compounded by the enemies being extremely unforgiving to make even the first level quite difficult. Cool concept and art though.
The artstyle is easily one of the best I have seen in a jam, incredible work.
I do wish it was less frustrating to play tho! I love hard games, but the long levels combined with the slow load times made it frustrating in a not-fun way. And I would have looooooved if I was able to move the shuriken around myself instead of hitting it from the ground to be able to plan the make-it-big mechanic better.
You guys clearly have talent, so really looking forward to what you do next!
Gorgeous style, and the maximize ability felt powerful to pull of correctly. But I couldn't get past the first level after the tutorial--As soon as I took out the first two guards, the gunner in the back walks up and shoots the bounty hunter before I can pick up the throwing star again. Do you have any tips for making it further?
Love the visual aesthetic of the game. Nice job!
I really liked the mechanics, visual and bit of story of the game, but it was really hard. Maybe if the enemies had some delay before they one shot you or you had some health or if your slice could kill them close range? Overall though, quite cool
This game is really cool, both conceptually and visually! I'll say, though, the growth mechanic feels a bit clunky, I'd say it'd be better if you could use the scroll wheel to adjust the size before throwing. Also, the enemies seem rather unfair, they get suspicious whenever you do just about anything anywhere near them, and it's pretty frustrating getting one shot by bullets that move to you in just a few frames. Could definitely be the base of a cool game, very cool take on the theme, and overall worth giving a shot.
