The controls were pretty nice, and the concept is cool, but it would be nice if there was some kind of healing item or something. If you plan on polishing this game after the jam, I would love to play it!
The visuals in this are spectacular. However, gameplay itself is a bit tricky. The enemies don't have any death animation so its hard to tell when you have actually killed them. The dice mechanic also doesn't feel very well implemented, I felt that when the player 'activates' the current effect of the dice, it should show a visual indicator or something similar. Great job overall!
If possible could you check out my game? Any feedback would be appreciated.
Interesting and unique concept. Art was nice, controls felt finicky, background could have used some more things going on, but all things considered pretty good!
We didn't create any of the pixel art :(
Adam created all of the music though :p
Visuals are well done, but gameplay is very repetitive. You really just spam the same attack over and over, making it hard to care about the rules changes, so you kind of just hope for the best.
I think if damage was balanced (which it's not atm) then gameplay won't feel repetitive.
Also, the eyeballs are the only ranged enemy. And if there's more of them, it could create more variety.
The rule changes could also be tweaked to increase impact.
Nice concept! This has the potential to be really good, keep it up!
Thanks! <o/
Pretty cool. I kind of couldn't really tell when I was hitting something or when it was hitting me though. Maybe a sound effect or some kind of visual feedback would make it feel nicer to play
I agree. There is a hit SFX but it's very quiet.
Fun side scroller. It was a little hard to see how the enemy buffs were affecting the game, maybe adding enemy health bars would help.
Totes my goats!
the visuals are great and the game is very fun
also i think you should add more feedback when you land a hit like a sound effect to make the attacks all that much more satisfying
Couldn't agree more :v
