Cool idea. One suggestion I can give is to add effect on the chess piece when it is damaged to make sure people know the dice hits the enemies (as I have no idea whether the enemies health is too high or my dice never hit them)

Are they bugs or happy accidents?  Creative take on the theme and I appreciate that you took the time to lay out the rules! It would be nice to be able to see the pieces health (besides your own) or know when they're being hit (i.e. if the dice hits them directly once it finishes rolling vs it rolls past them), but overall nice job! - double post because I threw this in the wrong location to begin with-

It's a cool game idea, and I like the game. I have a few critiques, but they're pretty minor. The die is a bit difficult to pick up, and since you can still edit the page during the jam, maybe you could provide instructions on what the upgrades do? I didn't understand them at first, but once I did, I found them amazing. Cool idea, well executed.

Could've done with some music and being a bit more expanded upon (upgrades, different weapons etc.) but still a nice, fun game

Fun game, but it's a little bit difficult and unresponsive. I like to upgrade dice with more abilities

Like the other i had a difficult time finding how to damage enemies. Once I found out how to damage the enemies the game  was really fun.   Well Done !

Interesting concept. Like others though, I had some difficulty understanding how to damage enemies

I didn't have enough time to make a tutorial... Sorry.

Well done! :D I had a difficult time understanding how to damage the enemies, a bit more feedback would've been very nice, some sort of screen-shake or sound to let me know I hit. :)

Developer

The enemies do shake and have sound, but the shake is small and the sound is quiet. Glad you enjoyed it though. :)

Love seing entries expanding on similar ideas but in a completely different direction :D We're also having damage tied to the dice roll (or at least that's what I'm assuming is happening here).
Didn't make it past the third upgrade, but boomerang is defo my favourite.
