How does your game fit the theme?
Our game fits the theme by having a dice roll mechanic in terms of collecting resources in the early game, with randomisation elements such as a random starting position and chosen name. Also our game is about constructing casinos, which more broadly fits a theme of luck that the roll of a dice would imply.

Seem alright but it should definitely include an 'idle' as part of the genre as well.

I may have bought the wrong upgrades and ended up having a very slow early game which made for a very slow early start.  Though after getting the basics down, I can kind of see whre this game goes and can definitely imagine this being very much hectic!

Reminds me of those slither.io games where you have a bunch of players and everyone's vying to be the top!

I think the game is uniquely enough balanced around resources and territory to incite conflict. During my playthrough, unfortuantely there was no one around to engage with so I ended up just expanding on my own before I eventually stopped.

I think the game would have benefitted more from having a smaller arena so that there is ahigher chance of encountering other people. Also the ability to perhaps spy on other people by clicking their name on the leaderboards? I imagine when the arena is smaller, much of the game design would have to be revisited. This was quite enjoyable though!

EDIT: I'm at this game for half an hour now.... straight.

Hi! You will be pleased to know that you can spy on other leaderboard players by pressing the button to the left of their names. Glad you enjoyed it!

Really cool game! Loved the giant map in a Zelda like fashion! Really fun to play, good job!

I am actually speechless. The idea of having a big multiplayer world for a game jam is so god darn good. It’s not my type of genre so I won’t find too much fun in playing the game itself, but this is 5/5 nonetheless for the absolutely wonderful idea while somehow making this an actual functional game in 48 hours. You have my most sincere respect!

Impressive scope, but not really a genre I'm into, so it's hard to give feedback.  The game  had a hard time discerning when I wanted to click on a button vs. when I wanted to click out of the pop-up. And making me confirm every harvest felt unnecessary  and tedious. I didn't end up playing for more than a few minutes.

Developer

Sorry you had a bad experience! You can shift-click (or double click) to bypass the confirmation dialogue or click and drag over tiles to quickly capture them or claim resources.

Cool concept, great work on making something like this for a game jam. I did have some trouble working out how to play and how to create buildings though.

Definitely not what I was expecting, I always wondered if someone would be crazy enough to make an MMO or something for a jam.  Just didn't think I'd see it, and certainly not one in this style.  It's interesting, though somewhat slow.  That's part of the point though I think and it was cool to try and build out an empire.

The only real issue I had was the little variety on the forest I'd say, and the input issues.  Though the little variety on the forest makes sense.  But gameplay wise it definitely leaned into corporate style "grow grow grow".

I'm such a big fan of idle/clicker games, and this was absolutely amazing. I got top 5 but my internet is having some issues so will definitely continue playing it later. Great job

Really cool that you were able to make this multiplayer game in 48 hours! Excited to try it some more off-stream! Awesome work!

This is really impressive. I wish the mass-building was a bit more predictable. I struggled as the mouse would skip over a few of tiles.

But that's, honestly, such a minor issue given this is all running on a central server. Amazing job. Top marks across the board.

Personally, im not a fan of MMOs, but the fact that some made a game like THIS in literally 2 days is just bonkers.

Pretty neat.  I really loved seeing the cities that other people built!

Very Fun. Love the concept. Love the MMO aspect. Only real suggestion I'd make is that an option to delete buildings would be nice, otherwise, keep it up!

There seems to be a websocket bug with some versions of chrome, some users have reported that firefox/opera will work instead if you wish to try!

I'm still in shock how you managed to create a factory builder MMO in the span of two days; give yourself a reward lol.  The only thing I had with the game was just learning how to play, it was a little bit annoying having to traverse back to the game page and memorize the controls and mechanics. However, it's extremely fun and this should definitely be expanded into a future release, this was absolutely amazing. Keep it up!
