Pretty cool idea. The concept is simple but it turned out surprisingly fun.

Neat game!

Thanks!

Pretty awesome given the constraints! I enjoyed it enough to play a few times. Highest score I could get was 61.

Developer

Thanks for playing and glad you enjoyed it!

Would be great if there was a score counter for how far you went or something. I played it for a surprisingly long time!

Developer

There is a score listed on the ending screen, but that is a good point in that I forgot to put on on the main game as well!

I really liked this game, maybe you could make the floor speed up faster over time? Considering you made this in javascript this is a big accomplishment :)

Developer

Yeah, figuring out a way to keep the floor a more constant threat would for sure be the next step. it would add a lot to the excitement of the game and help it feel less bland. Thanks for playing!

Nice Game! The game gets a bit repetitive after a while, but that you made it with only one js compensates for it. Pretty impressive what you managed to do! You can be proud of yourself!

Developer

Thanks for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed my challenge!

i got a bit confused on how it works but overall cool game

oh also nice job for making it it javascript?

Developer

Anything specifically confusing or that wasn't covered by the instructions? I know it's not ideal, but was the best I could do in the time constraints.

The game was indeed made with JavaScript! Thanks for playing!

A very good game, kept me playing for a couple of minutes. The graphics have some room for improvement but its a good and straight-forward game. Good Job!

Developer(+1)

I agree, the art was very basic. Even without making dedicated graphics, I do think I could make it a bit more appealing, but I'm still happy enough with how it turned out for the short time frame. Thanks for playing!

Your welcome!

Surprisingly addictive gameplay “loop”. Played for at least more than 5 minutes.

My biggest feedback, regardless of its “dryness” is that we have to go through the written explanations. I which explanations could have been implemented as part of the gameplay; some people might simply skip the game just because of that.

Props for coding in Javscript in such a small file in so little time!!!

Developer(+1)

I'm glad you found the game play loop fun! I do wish I could have basically taken the instructions I wrote and just straight up shipped that into the game where you would get the text by hovering over each square shown in the picture. Just add that on to the things I wish I could have done if I didn't have half the time xD Anyways, thanks for playing and for the feedback!

I followed the instructions to move but could never really get it to go. The game's polished and the section about how you made the game is interesting also. Great game!

Developer

What issues were you encountering? Thanks for playing though!

Submitted(+1)

Cool! I liked having to decide between moving forward or spending moves to go laterally and get a power-up. The missing grid points were interesting, and I think the game might have been better if there were more of them. I also liked that sound effect; it was very satisfying.

Developer

Thanks! Trying to get the user to go side ways instead of just up was a big issue I tried to combat. Using power ups and the missing grid points were an attempted solution, but I wish I had more time to really balance this out. More points will disappear as you get further away from the computer though. Thanks for playing!
