Fun game.

The text of the upgrades was way too small for me to read without problem.

Sometimes I'd be firing and get an upgrade, but because I was clicking the mouse I'd choose an upgrade before I had an option to look at them first.

Still, good job on your entry!

Neat concept, wish there was some audio.

As someone who never experienced something like d&d, I had no idea what something like 1d8 meant until I googled it. Maybe it should be explained better.

Still, good job on your entry!

Neat game, good job!

Neat concept, I like how the dice was implemented to limit moving units, especially since the enemy path is randomly generated each round.

Good job on your game!

Neat concept, but having the enemies move at the speed of sound right off the bat might be too extreme.

Still, good job on your game!

Neat concept, but it needs a lot of polish.

Good job on your entry!

Neat game, I had fun playing this, too bad there is no music

Good job on your entry!

Neat and quite difficult!

I like the twist of the steps count

This game gets extra points for cat, overall good job on your game!

Great concept, love the art style and audio!

Thank you for the feedback!

Thank you for the feedback!

  • I didn't have time to add a tutorial / explanation, so the stacking isn't obvious. I chose that option because I had 4 dice slots, and at the final battle the player has 4 dice. So, I believed it would make for interesting scenarios where you'd strategically think which dice fits each slot the best, rather than put all in damage and destroy the enemy.
  • The dices do not affect each other. If you get a low dice (which ranges from 1-2), it doesn't affect your other regular dices.
  • The code actually does control some of the randomness behind the scenes, but I wasn't able to implement more in time, hence the balancing isn't great.

Thanks again, much appreciated!

Love the presentation, environment is interesting and voice acting is great.

In terms on gameplay, the game focuses around platforming but I mostly struggled with it, the movement mechanics and level design aren't quite there yet.

Still, very good job on your game!

I love the concept, it is well executed! This is one of my favorites that I've played during the jam!

My only real problem is that the screen gets cluttered with all the recruits and schemes, everything gets on top of each other and it gets all messy.

Still, incredible job on your entry!

Really love this one!

After I understood the mechanics, I was very engaged, and played for a while.

If you ever expand, adding more twists and things to check like in "Papers Please" would make this even better.

I had a lot of trouble throwing the dice into the trash, a lot of times when I found a fake dice, the customer would leave because I had so much trouble getting the dice to the trash.

Still, incredible job on your entry!

Very neat and replayable.

I like the fact rooms are randomly generated, but on one run, I was blocked by spikes right as I entered the first room, and had to accept my fate.

Still, very good job on your game!

Neat concept, but not very fun nor engaging.

Still, good job on your game!

Had a lot of fun with this one, it did take me a moment to understand that the dice had to match, but once I understood fully how the game works I was engaged.

Love the look of the game and it sounds nice.

Overall, great job on your entry!

Game looks decent, but the character had black legs just like a big chunk of the background, so it looks a lot like a floating cube.

The RNG element with the dice doesn't complement the game in any way, the mechanic was thrown in without any real reason except meet the theme requirements.

Implementing fall damage made the gameplay slower and less fun.

Still, good job on your game!

Thanks a lot of the feedback!

I'm so glad to hear you enjoyed playing it!

Art looks great, too bad there is no audio

I wish mechanics were explained more, like what each ability does, even if just by using a simple pop up text.

This gets extra points for cat. Overall, good job on your game!

Playing this until my copy of Stray arrives.

Very cute and quite fun.

Only wish a map of sorts was implemented.

Gets extra points for being a cat like, great job on your game!

btw the cat in the main menu is adorable :3

Love the aesthetic, the design of the ghost was very well done.

The game basically plays  itself without any real user influence, but that isn't necessarily bad, as I did feel like I was playing a visual novel.

Personally I found the talking sound effect very obnoxious.

Overall, great job on your game!

Very neat and fun game, but the theme is mostly implemented visually. Instead of "regular" mini golf, you've got dice instead of the balls.

I do like the power ups, which are given randomly, and the flavor text of the abilities is great.

Overall, great job!

Don't really get how the theme is implemented.

The level isn't well designed around the red cubes, and I don't understand how the red cubes really work. They make you dash and become invulnerable for a short moment (without visual clarity), but that led me to just fly through the roof and reach the ending.

The music resetting each time you die doesn't sound great and gets annoying if you try to beat the game properly without cheese.

Still, good job on finishing and submitting your game!

Great entry, I enjoyed this one.

The setting is well thought out, especially love how randomness is a part of the world.

Biggest problem is the core dice and suspicion system. Going for the most sus sounding questions resulted me in useful information, without the suspects getting too wary of me, which isn't what you'd think would work normally.

Still, amazing job on your submission!

Neat concept, I love the visuals, the sound effects are great but the gameplay wasn't engaging.

I reached around floor 27, and stopped. It wasn't fun reaching that point.

At least every room does look very unique with its own characters, so there is that to look forward to when going up the tower.

The game gets extra points in my book for having cats, and overall, great job on your game!

Very solid concept and story. Love the aesthetic of the game! Great job!

Very neat, love the concept and aesthetic. Great job!

Quite fun, dig the art style, too bad there were no sound effects.

Some enemy placements were a bit annoying, sometimes I'd go into a room, and a goblin would immediately take a chunk of my health.

I'm glad you implemented checkpoints, but I wish I'd respawned with more dice rather than just one, it makes it harder to challenge a difficult room.

Also, the powerups could be more obvious and more interesting. It is difficult to look to the side when there is a lot of action going on. If you ever decide to expand upon the concept, more interesting abilities could be added, rather than just stat modifiers.

Overall, great job on your game!

Thank you! Much appreciated!

Thank you, those are great suggestions!

Very neat, I like the art style quite a bit

Teleport ability is game breaking and unbalanced, but in an enjoyable game.

For me there were at least 2 princesses on the map which I would control simultaneously.

I wish there was a map, or a indicator where to go after getting the crystal, it was easy to get lost

Still, very good job on your game!

Game looks and sounds good, but getting send back to the main title after each death kept me unengaged.

Still, good job on your game!

Very fun, looks and sounds great.

At first I found shooting unresponsive, but then realized holding down the fire button does the job.

The bouncy sections felt a bit wonky, although I the animation of  the dice bouncing is very well done.

Enemies would sometimes attack from offscreen.

I might've gotten unlucky, but the new weapons from the roll ability didn't feel any different.

Overall, the game is polished and very good, great job on this!

btw I found this entry through youtube recommending me your video :)

Very neat! Good job!

Neat game, but a lot of times my cube fell through the floor. Good job on your game!

Very neat, I'd prefer if there was a crosshair. Good job on your game!

Very cool, fun, and great sound effects and music.

Only wish I could jump, the monsters once cornered me when I was left without bullets, and had to accept my death.

Still, great game!

Neat game, dice definitely need to be a bit bigger and more easily controlled.

Still, good job on your game!
