I really enjoyed this game, I like the way randomness is a big factor, but it is ultimately up to your skill how will you do. Things get pretty intense if you get deep into it.
Fun gameplay! More obstacles in the arena would great to add variety to the combat.
I think the idea of attacking based on a dice roll was really cool. I was always looking forward to how many arrows I would get to shoot when fighting an enemy. I really liked the characters watching on the side, it reminded me of capcom fighting games.
I think there could have been more obstacles like rocks on the floor since the arena was a huge open space to make it a bit harder, but other than that I had a lot of fun and i really enjoyed it.
The pixel artwork is GREAT but the enemies move WAY too fast, I literally can't hit them because I have to guess where they are. I'd play this without the dice mechanic, it's just a hindrance and adds nothing to the game.
which dice?
Arrow number or the situation one?
I'd say, both? the dice (powerups?) give no explanation whatsoever, and just felt like an annoying and random pause menu for the bullet hell gameplay. The random reload would be fun if the goal was to save ammo; here, it just felt like a gimmick gun from a different shooter.
Great Idea! Had fun playing this. I felt the need for a more interesting arena though. Not necessarily with walls or whatever, but a noticable difference in the tiling. It would have helped me with orientation to know where the last enemy I saw is etc.
Great music and good gameplay. Though very hard - I am generally bad at bullet hell type of games
