I love the art and the little touch of world building you had in the game. With the gameplay, I found myself just spamming attack thoughtlessly and I ended up beating the game so was not as much of a fan of that aspect of the game.
Cute little RPG with good visuals. You definitely kept things in scope and delivered a complete game. I think it could have benefited from not playing it this safe and trying to do a bit more with the combat encounters.
Such cute art and story! I especially loved the main character's design. While I also enjoyed the enemy designs as well, the battles were a little underwhelming and would love to see attack animations in the future! Great work! :)
The art is phenomenal! As others said the randomness makes it hard to "strategize" a best way forward. I loved how the fights almost had a "comic book" way of moving. I felt that same crunchiness you do when you read those old marvel comics. So that was an awesome little touch ;)
What a challenge to make an RPG for a two-day game jam, congrats for the realization! The graphics and music are gorgeous, it's too bad there were so many "bips". I also thought the complete randomness made the combat system a bit frustrating, but nothing more time and more work couldn't improve. Well done!
Really cute game with unique ideas!
An interesting world and the art work on battle screen are pretty cool. I agree with Jaco for add some mechanics that bring more solutions to how we have to fight. Good job.
I liked the world/lore of this. I think it suffers a bit in terms of gameplay though: the complete randomness leads to a situation where a) it's not useful to block, since you don't know how much damage is coming your way and you don't know what the enemy will do, and b) there's no interesting decisions to be made (ala Sid Meier's game definition [sort of]).
I think this game would have benefited from some mechanics that bring about more decisions from the player; e.g. telegraphing attacks and making blocking based on chance (aka roll of the dice), or giving more options than just attacking and defending.
