Nice game! I liked the concept of rolling damage and stuff a lot. The difficulty level was pretty balanced and the levels with fog of war really added a lot of strategy. I was a bit confused about rolling natural 20s and what not since from what I could see it was a 1-6 die. But maybe I misunderstood the combat system. I still had a lot of fun playing though. Great job!

How does your game fit the theme?
You play as Rolland Tumble, a light-hearted dodecahedron, bent on destroying the Game Master. Loot chests throughout the Greater Lands to power up your dice roll! Roll to hit, then roll for damage!

First game I've rated and i think it will stay my favourite. Fantastic game. Thought I had worked out dodging and fighting early on but the the difficulty ramped up steadily throughout to keep the game engaging. Fun story that reminded me of old games like zork and choose your own adventure games. Fantastic music that fit the game pefectly reminded me of music from Runescape. Only got two songs deep before dieing but both were great. Well done.
The visuals are great and the gameplay so far is good. I love the game, good job <3
Nice game! Both the music and the art were pretty simple but very good, the gameplay was straightforward but fun, and the story was a nice detail. I don't know how much your choices actually affect the gameplay, but I liked that part anyway lol
Congrats on finishing your game!
I really liked the take on the D&D theme here. The abstracted enemies were well animated and the overall aesthetic is nice. Nicely done. And that music track was nice and catchy.
The gameplay didn't quite grab me. It all just felt a little too slow, like I was waiting more than playing. I ended up skipping all the dialogue when I realized it probably didn't have any effect on the gameplay and the long cooldown between attacks was a bit frustrating, especially when being swarmed by 3 or 4 other enemies.
Still a pretty cool experience. Well done and keep making cool games!
Thanks for giving it a shot!
The dialogue has a minimal effect on the next fight. It really only determines whether you'll be fighting more enemies or not. We wanted there to be more weight to your decisions but frankly ran out of time.
We made a decision to only let the player have one active "d20" at a time to prevent the game being an easy spam-click-to-win, but it did perhaps bump the difficulty a bit too much.
Thank you for the constructive feedback!
Really loved the satisfying sound effects and the little text adventure parts were a nice surprise!
Interesting concept though it is simply visualizing the behind the scenes rolls you do in a normal RPG. It is done with a good amount of visual polish and simple but effective sound and music. Bonus points for having a working volume setting for both music and sfx.
