Hilarious game with a unique concept! I see you saying in other comments that whatever number chase rolls has an effect on gameplay, and I could see the number of resources I was getting was changing, but I couldn't piece together how those two were related. If you iterate more on this game, adding a bit more in terms of helpful hints would really push it to the next level.

Very interesting game concept.  I wasn't sure how to play so a tutorial would be awesome here

This was an interesting concept, the fact that you can only plan a few spaces ahead and the table destroy everything in its path led to some really interesting strategic decisions. I guess getting to the windmill is kind of the end game, because it very easy to pump out a ton of bread and survive indefinitely after that.

I think a little bit of UX polish could go a long way with this prototype, things like highlighting the selected building so the game acknowledges that I clicked on it to place it. Also adding a way for the player to understand what each building produces on the die rolls would make these decisions easier. For example, I still have no idea what the stone spike did. Nice job!

The game over screen cracks me up! It's really hard to tell what's happening or how to get any resources. How do you get wood?

Developer (1 edit)

did you use  the i icon on the lower left corner?
it will help you understand the game.
you can get wood from Fields and forest depending on what number got rolled by the dice.

I did, but I still don't understand how to get more wood. I keep getting stuck in a state where there's nothing I can do but lose. If I have no wood there doesn't seem to be a way to get more.

yes if you dont have any wood you practically lost.
But if you place a Field/Forest on your Foep/ moving table you never lose the source for wood.
you can also click multiple times on the info for more tips.
