Hey didn't join the Jam but I'm always interested in 3D godot games, I liked the concept and in a week you guys got a lot done, if you continue adding a jump to the robots so its not so easy to cheese the pathfinding could be good, made it to level 16 before I killed myself with 9 splitters and 1 bomber, maybe I didn't notice but the explosions getting bigger with each bomber would be cool too.

When it comes to Lag mine only really did for for 2 seconds which I would expect loading everything in that instant and then after that played fine, so Idk if my PC adjusted or what but it does seem intense at the start, having a menu while scenes/assets are loaded in the background could be a way to make that smoother for people at the start at least

Developer

Hey man, thanks for trying out our game :) This is definitely the way to die, trust me :D

About the cheese, definitely right. Some sort of better enemy AI would make it way more interesting to play. And about the bomber: in this build it doesn't scale the explosion size. But on our dev build we added cluster bombs, so multiple bombers stack into multiple clusters of explosions 💥

A title screen and proper menu would go a long way for sure, but as you said, for a week we got a lot done on the gameplay itself and kinda forgot about some basics😅

Thanks again for your feedback, and maybe we can play your stuff in an upcoming jam?

I liked the idea of this game, and it was ambitious. It was a little laggy, and sometimes the camera wouldn't move when I moved my mouse. I liked the jump pads that allowed easier movement around the map.

Developer

Thanks for the nice feedback! Yeah we gotta look into the lags, they only seem to happen on the exported build...

The game is too laggy, Don't know what is happening, maybe it is because I played on Lutris but I don't think so as I saw that you stated with high DPI it could cause too much sensitivity. But here it's not only sensitivity it's also laggy.

Si basically I couldn't test it much. I liked the visual aspect of the level I think it was really good, and it looks like you could "assemble" and so upgrade your weapon but it was so laggy not even when rotating camera but just when moving my character with arrow keys that I couldn't survive a wave.

Test my game and comment it for feeback plz!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I am sorry that it was lagging so much for you. Do you mind telling me more about your setup?

I am on Ubuntu, Laptop with AMD Lucienne graphics card but I used Lutris (that runs Wine) to play the Windows version

Developer

Hmm I guess next time we can try to export for multiple platforms, it shouldn't be as laggy as you described it. :(
