Whew, that is really tough, they have quite a bit of health, it seems like. xD
they have shared health. you can only hit them when they came down on you. I rly should have made a tutorial level sry xd. if u use the spray on them 4-5 times it should be enough.
Oooh, only when they are down? That explains it, I was trying to hit them when they were in the air. :P
Ok I have no clue what is going on, but for some reason I love it. I think defeated one of the hands once but I NEED to know, is it actually winnable and if so can you post a video of you doing it :P
Edit: just saw your post in comments, now it makes sense how I beat the first hand that time
they have shared health. Its just semi random when they gna come down. If you hit either of them enough times with the turrets you'll get the final joke xd
Cute characters and big bad boss.
The pixel art is good and movement felt snappy. It's a bit unclear what to do about the boss though. Great to see Godot logo put to good use.
you have to shoot the hands with the turrets once they come down on you. I wanted ppl to have the "AHA"- moment. I implement too few hints, sorry :)
Neat as a bossfight showcase especially if it was done in a day as you state in game.
Main issues to me are :
- the fact that it's a bit unclear what to do in the boss room with the battery pilons, cause they all seem to be in use when you approach them but i wasn't sure what they actually did.
- The camera, since you can switch between 2 characters, i found it hard to keep track of when the 2nd character was focused by the boss or not while i was dodging the hand targeting the one i was controlling, so i kept dying from having the 2nd character hit off screen.
However, i love the presentation and the character designs, especially the little detail linking this to the electricity theme where their eyes are +/- signs :p
and overall solid movement controls with snappy camera switch.
Core idea is interesting, and i imagine this isn't more fleshed out mostly due to the jam's time constraints which i can totally understand :)
I'll start with the bad, and end with the good
the bad: i don't like the font you choose, it was hard to read the instructions in the game. the one hit thing is also bad, there were times i got mad. i tried tons of times. a healthbar or a life system would of been helpful on here.
the good: love the pixel art! movements were good
Thanks for the feedback :D Was the Font bad in gerneral (resolution, spacing, etc) or were certain characters hard to identify?
certain characters were hard to read. I would play it safe next time and get a less flashy font. As long as all characters are readable. Then your good. This one font was a risky font to choose. And like I said I struggle reading it. Otherwise great game idea! Love the boss design btw! Wish I could make a boss like that
haha I thought that font was a purposeful decision to underscore the reflect the content of the message (and the roughness of the game). I found it amusing :)
