The art is superb and the music and sound effects are very fitting. I would've liked some more complexity, maybe a way to advertise to get a rush of customers?

Really like the theme!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! I ran out of time so I had to cut out a lot of features but that's a good idea!

Submitted

Really cool idea for theme ;D. Your hamsters are way cuter than ours.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Your hamsters are plenty cute too :)

Submitted(+1)

Pretty cute and addictive. Good job!

Love it, cute pixel art hamsters building my energy business! Nay, not business... EMPIRE! I can see the future now, everything powered by Hamsters, Hamster powered lights, cookware, CARS! The future is glorious! The future is bright! The future... IS HAMSTERS!!!

:P, In all honesty, loved it, very nicely done. One day I'll be able to afford that second charging port, just need to do more advertising to draw in more customers XD.

Developer(+1)

The sequel will be Hamster Energy Empire :)

Thank you for the feedback!

Very cute an polished game!

Submitted

This is super cute! I love these kind of games. The path finding of the hamsters can use some work.

Developer

Thank you, glad you enjoyed! Yeah, I agree. I'll try to fix after the jam.

I love these kind of games. The art style is great! I had an issue with hamsters getting stuck in wheels but that's probably because I put them too close together. Great work! I'd play this again if the store is expanded! If an auto-feeder could be unlocked I'd think about running this in a browser tab as an idle game.

Developer

Thank you! I was originally planning to have upgrade paths, so maybe I can add the auto-feeder after the jam.

Submitted(+1)

This could be played as an idle game, very cool!

Really funny game idea :D

Love the idea of generating power with hamsters. Maybe it's a serious business in the future. Time to buy a hamster

The only critic I have, is the last objective. Is it even possible to reach enough points for a second charging station? :D

Developer

Thank you! I ran out of time so I couldn't implement adding more charging ports, so it's not meant to be obtainable. Maybe I'll update after the jam.

Super cute, Just a very cozy game. For once in my life I finally had a hamster empire. Dream come true.

Developer

Thank you, glad I could make your dream come true!

Submitted

Absoultely adorable!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! That's what I was going for :)

Submitted

Ok the artstyle is adorable! The game idea too.

The pathfinding is a little but frustrating but you know that already. We all suffer from the time limit but I wished I can resize the room a little bit for money x)

But overall it was a nice and sweet experience!! ♥

Developer

Thank you for the feedback and I'm glad you enjoyed playing!

Submitted

Great!! The hamster really got stuck, but they are hamsters after all... hehehe

As a suggestion, i think it would be great if it had a speed up button

Developer

Thank you! Yes, these hamsters are not the brightest.

That's a good idea! I'll see if I can add after the jam.

Submitted

Loved it, some time hamsters got stuck but you had a fix for that so you can move thing

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! Yeah, next time I think I will try a different approach to pathfinding.

Submitted

the art is fantastic! wow great job! the hamsters are super adorable! i gotta know what you use for your dialog, it was nice, simple and clean. otherwise great job im hitting that follow button, i can't wait for more projects from you

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! The dialog box is a simpler version of this tutorial. I hardcoded the text instead of using a json file.

Submitted (1 edit)

oh you gotta teach me how you did that! I followed this tutorial awhile back and I hated the json part. Exporting that was a nightmare  and nothing I did work. I didn't know there was a text base solution...wait I might have an idea as to how you did it 🤔

Developer(+1)

Sure thing! Yeah, json was overkill for this project, so I made it easier for myself. Here's a link to my DialogBox script.

Submitted(+1)

Thanks a ton for posting this! Your the MVP 😭

Submitted

This was really fun and cute.

Sometimes the hamsters got stuck trying to walk in a straight line through the wheels. I needed to move the wheels so they could pass.

Developer

Thank you! Yeah, I wasn't able to get pathfinding to work perfectly in the end. Glad you still enjoyed playing!

Submitted

Very fun game! Yada, yada, yada! 🙂 Very cute and I love the art! 💕

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I am still learning pixel art, so glad you like it!

Submitted(+1)

You did a fantastic job! 🙂

Submitted(+2)

I quite enjoyed the  depressed boss hamster

Submitted(+1)

These hamsters are so cute! The graphics on this were perfection. why is the extra charging port so expensive though? I was making tons of extra energy, but the phones would not come fast enough. I would love to see if you continue developing this after the jam, it brings a lot of joy :)

Developer(+2)

Thank you for playing! So...that's because I didn't have time to implement adding extra charging ports lol. Sorry about that. I will see if I can fix that after the jam!

Submitted(+1)

The game is absolutely adorable, love them hamsters!

Developer(+2)

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed!
