I loved this one!  I also have a soft spot for chameleons thought :P

I agree with some other comments that the hit box is rough -- there were a few times where I triggered a camera even though no pixels were actually touching it.  As much as I like pixel art, this is one of the cases where more precise shapes would have been better.  This honestly wasn't a big deal though since it just takes you back to a safe spot nearby.

The controls were good and the difficulty ramp was almost perfect for me.  A note about using the number keys to change color might be good but it looks like everyone figured that out fairly quickly (it took me a couple of minutes haha).

Overall very nice work!

Nice game, idea and execution. Fun to play

Thanks a lot!

Also, I can't play your game because my "video card driver does not support opengl blabla" ... well  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
And I like your Mob Psycho 100 profile picture...

Cool game! I loved how the game taught you how to play as you progressed. I loved the chameleon character too. I thought the hit boxes were a bit unforgiving though!

Developer

Thank you for playing!

I did the hitboxes a little smaller than the character and for the camera view too, but since the chameleon isn't really seen from above like the rest of the game, maybe it's a bit confusing. I'll try to change that for the post jam version.

The controls were a bit harsh for me… Although I use an azerty keyboard, I don't have any numeric pad (on my laptop, that is). I could still hold shift to use the numeric keys above, but that wasn't very comfortable. I know that those keys can be binded with Godot, but a quick fix could be to make this game compatible with qwerty (you just have to bind W and A to Up and left respectively). :)

This issue aside, this was a nice puzzle game! :) The idea is neat, and it offers some nice challenges. And thank you so much for having put checkpoints! \o/ It's rare to see those in jam entries, but they make some games way less frustrating! So big kudos for that.

However, I must admit that I have been stuck on the second level… :( I don't know if that's far or not (my movements where, as I said, pretty slow). I just didn't see where to go once the second interruptor was activated (there was the corridor on the left, but not enough space between the two cameras to switch colors…).

Still, I enjoyed what I played! Well done.

Hey, thank you so much for playing my game!

For the controls, I just tested and you don't need to press shift for the numeric keys. I think I'll add other controls like TYU or something like that and W+A (I didn't do that because I didn't want to have Z and W at the same time doing the same action).

I did put checkpoints because my game that I made for Geta Game Jam, 1 month ago, was pretty hard so I had to put checkpoints, so I did it here too^^

And, there is a little trick for that^^
You can go under the cameras, so it facilitate a lot of moments. I didn't say it or anything because I thought the player could understand it by himself (especially with the blue cam' at the beginning of the 1st level).
But I already changed the sprite of the camera view for the post jam version, so we can see the little zone where the player can go

This was great! Lots of timing and a bit of thinking. The very last part was indeed the hardest. Good build up of difficulty through the whole game :)

Looks like some of the controls are meant for an AZERTY Keyboard ~

The arrow keys work too, fortunately.
