Well done. Nice graphics and Audio.
The way you aim is fine by me. The slow approach to dodging is fine if it goes hand in hand with a predictable enemy and level design.
I'd advise detaching the movement from the target point (so you're not dragged behind it).
That way you can dodge easily and keep the cool tank-like aim.
I actually like the way these controls work. It lets you do full 360 degree aiming with only arrow keys. Even though it's a cool concept it wasn't very fun to use. The difficulty curve is also a bit steep, and I kept dying on the level where you can see which enemies you need to kill. If I could restart from the beginning of that level rather than the very beginning, and if the friendly snakes didn't shoot, I would have spent a bit more time trying to win. Besides that, though, I really like the graphic style and ambient soundtrack!
I am so sorry, the game over menu that pops up on defeat wasn't labelled clearly. 1st Button resets the level, 2nd resets the game. I renamed them accordingly to avoid confusion.
And thanks for the feedback!
Better pew-pew control is indeed on my wish list :) The limited color palette works rather well.
I don't get the link to shadows though? Maybe it is later in the game because I did manage to get past the second level.
Nice twist with the colors, wish there was a bit more control over where you pew pew
Thanks for the feedback! The controls are indeed a bit of a mess at the moment.
