The themes don't really bother, so here's my unbiased analysis:

The graphics are great and the style used is very charming. I think it would look even better with more detailed backgrounds. The music fits the ambience nicely, and the one at the end is reaaally good. The overall presentation was nice, the game felt pretty polished.

The gameplay, however, is not very interesting. The characters don't react as you shoot them, so It was neither fun nor disturbing. It didn't help that we don't know the character's motivation, or anything about any of the characters , so there is no emotional connection. The "devil" lines were also pretty cheesy.

Thanks for playing Geminimax! I'd really like to add a background, although not really sure what fits. The ending part was just something I got from watching open ended movies, lol.

I think your copy of the game is bugged out as there should be a death animation of the NPCs when you shoot them. For the dialogues, I'm still bad at it. When making the game, I also feel that the dialogues are a bit off too.

Good game. But... that dark theme, it made me feel bad each time i decided to progress through the game. But anyways, it's a nice piece of work

Not my cup of tea, but it sure was polished! Good work :)

The theme you chose is a bit controversial territory.

But I liked the artstyle and music.

Well that was intense... Quite a dark take on the theme but i see what you did there, you nailed the atmosphere in which you really feel uneasy about progressing in the level, hoping to find if there's another way out only to find there isn't.

Makes you feel bad but really makes you think

Don't know what else i could say, it's a good commentary on violence, however it's always difficult with such a strong theme because you never now how people are going to view things.

On a lighter note, i like your artstyle, your intro screen is really cool.

Interesting experience, good game, i'd say not much fun, but not really because of any fault, more because of the theme by design.

well done.

Thanks Wolf! On this jam I focused on the atmosphere and the experience, also learnt the capabilities of the AnimationPlayer node. Am glad you like the intro, just trying some things there.

Yep the animation player seems to allow for quite a lot judging by how you did :) and don't worry jams are all about trying new things.

AWESOME GAME!

Thanks Cannibal Goose!

Don't you think this game could be a trigger for mass shootings and suicide? You have an awesome art style but, man, wtf is that theme?

It's a game and a fiction nevertheless. It is a grim take on the theme whereas the player will be reliving his sins in hell. And for every end, the new beginning will not always come out as good, therefore much worse. That's what I'm aiming at. I don't intend to trigger anything.
