I got destroyed by the AI xD
Really like the concept. And to music fits good!
But I didn't manage to get any bonuses somehow?
Really original and fun, hope to see development on this! I don't have a lot to add that wasn't addressed in other comments or the game's page.
Well done!
Thanks for playing! I'll try to add things after the vote is ended :)
Very interesting concept. It was a lot of fun playing with my sister., although a bit confused on how it fits the theme.
Either way, well done on submitting the game!
Streamed it part 9 on my channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0NOIB5QFaVeBY2ECAtt_hg
Well, if you win, you start with a new deck as you can add or remove one bonus, and if you loose, you take your opponent's deck and picture, so every end lead to a new beginning ;)
Going to look at it, thank you a lot for your feedback (in video! OwO)
Edit: I didn't see it on youtube directly but I found it on discord :) So it was really interesting :) I see the bonus principle is really not clear. I'll try to add a tuto in the future, explaining the controls and the bonuses types. Recording yourself is very helpful, thanks again! (and yea', Krita is so cool!)
Oh I see. And you might not have seen it straight away as it takes a few moments for youtube to process the video usually :)
This was hard to stop playing, haha! Took me a second to figure out how to control it, but once I did I was destroying the computer! Nice visual feedback on the sides, there. I could see this with more and faster tracks for each level. Speaking of tracks, this track was unusual in a good way. Sort of Stravinsky inspired, kinda reminded me of the battle music in the original Star Trek series.
Thank you for the feedback :) In fact it was the first time I did a composition so I am surprised that people seems to like it more than I do XD
Quite an original concept to mix pong with a rhytm game, i like the idea of the obstacles so that you have to think bebore going closer to the net as the ball can go through but not you, its also cool that you can have the ball make a perfectly flat side bounce to take a bit of time and decide which angle you can bounce it back to. The art looks pretty good, the music is cool, and i definitively heard that hidden reference in there XD
I think people already mentioned it but, a visual help to catch the rhytm could be a nice complement to help the player synch up.
The only issue i had, isn't really with the game itself but a tiny bug in one of your menu screen just so you know its there, when you go on the more info screen there's no button to go back to the main menu :p
Other than this small thing i had no particular issue with the game, its a solid experience, i could only test the singleplayer so i can't really give any feedback about the multi sorry :(
Anyway, good job :)
Thanks a lot! Concerning the back button, my lover asked me just after I published the game and I answered "No... There isn't". He thought I was joking at first but I truly forgot XD It is not a bug fix so I'll add it after the rating is over :)
Haha, no problem well these things happen but i just thought i mentioned it in case you didn't know XD
Great game!!! had a blast playing it
I really like the hand drawn art! I wasn't able to make it to the part where I saw any cards, but it sounds like a really neat concept.
Nice game! I really liked how the art and music complimented the gameplay. Truly made me feel like I was play futuristic air hockey in space.
Thanks! Happy you liked it :) Do you have any advice to make it better? Did you play alone or with a friend?
Very cool for the first game. You did very good job at combining such different genres. It was quite hard to get into the rhytm though. Would be cool if it had more visual feedback for rhytm (like disco floor in necrodancer or just some particles)
Thank you for playing and for your feedback! :) I will try to add some after voting sessions is over, then! (Added to my to-do list XD)
Really nice for the first game.
Inspired by Crypt of the NecroDancer?
The rhythm was hard to get into.
Maybe it's me or some other factor by I fell like there is some inaccuracy.
Hope to see more of your games!
Why do you think it was inspired by Crypt of the Necrodancer XD ? When I discovered Crypt of the Necrodancer, I directly thought "How could I make it fit other genres?".
So you had trouble with the rhythm :S I did my best so it fits but if it doesn't well I'm sorry.
Your game interests me, I will to test it this afternoon! :)
Hey, wasn't able to play it. First had to rename the application for the windows pck.. which was odd, then the only button on the main menu that worked was the more info one. Let me know if you are having the issue too. Also let me know if you update the upload, would love to play your game.
Thanks.
Hello and thanks a lot for your interest, patience and comment!
I did a 1st bugfix yesterday night with the files names but without your help I would not figure out that the actual game didn't work (on my PC, I tested in the project folder, so all worked... Such a stupid idea U.U) I fixed the bug and I am currently uploading it on mega. If you can see the "WINDOWS" pack and exe, it means that it is the updated versions.
I'll be sure to check your game too! I want to play everyone's game! This game jam was really fun and exciting and the games that came out are piquing my interest!
Have fun playing!
EDIT: Upload finished! Tell me if you have any issue.
Awesome works now. Fun game. The AI started to be easy to beat after I got into a pattern. Could've done with some instructions on the controls but I got it figured out. Great submission.
Thank you for your feedback! Nice to read :) I'd like to make a tuto with the controls and the bonuses. And for the IA, I think that making it so it adapts to your play-style and level could be really fun but I didn't have the time for this kind of stuff ^^' (but I totally agree with you!)
And I am not good in programming, and this simple game was really hard to do for me XD
Well it worked as expected so your programming was great. Yea the time limitation is a huge factor that I usually forget to account for when I'm playing other peoples jam games. This was really well done for the time you had. You submitted a complete game, that puts you ahead of anyone that's never made a game. lol ^_~
