This game has a strong The legend of Zelda vibe with this treasurers and how to overcome things with new abilities. The first two levels (Tower and Snow) were really funny. Also I was not able to overcome the snow mans. As I entered the next level (Pyramids) I got stuck in the ditch. I was not able to get out with my new skill. So that was sadly my whole experience with this game.

But I see a lot of work in this game and a promising concept. If you are working further on this game I would love to play the finished game! :)

I like the concept of the whole "travel into books" thing and the presentation is really cool, mouse control camera + wasd works really well here, although i'd say you put the camera speed a bit high.

Pretty impressive that you went full hub world with multiple levels and some metroidvania elements for a jam game, and all in 3d on top of it :o

The game feels a bit rough around the edges(still fine though considering the jam's timeframe and all) but i like it and had a good time, i have encountered some bugs though !

When collecting feathers i assume it should be the same as for opening chests, that you only get the chest tune, well for feathers the level tune was still playing and the chest tune overlapped it.

And i also encountered a random crash, when i first entered the tower on a new game i jumped into the pyramid level and the game crashed("Godot engine has stopped working" type of crash to be precise) and then relaunching the game after having gone to the snow level first this time, i returned to the hub got into the pyramid level and then it worked just fine, played the windows build.

Other than these issues, cool entry so still good job :)

The game was fun and easy to get drawn in to and smooth controlls, just the speed of the camera was super fast but i guess that's probably on me with my mouse sense but other than that it was a spectacular game until i jumped up on the table and onto the book and the game went black and didn't respond for 1min and closed itself.

I restarted the game and then it worked to go into the levels, kinda reminds me of mario 64.

I have to agree with other comments, it was a little hard to understand the mechanics, double jump and roll and i also didn't find a goal in the levels, were there one? i just went around grabbing stuff and went back to the entrance. that was also unclear.

Very ambitious project for going solo. It's impressive that you created multiple levels, but for this reason each level feels unpolished. There are bugs here and there and game sometimes crash (I crashed in piramid when I was just walking)

Player character have great animation, but character controller have tiny bugs (like rolling in the air).
I really like animation sequence when you open the box. I would like to learn that.
I also like selecting spells from radial menu.

Overall great idea, but unpolished due to large scope. I encourage you to find teammates for the jam!

Cheers!

Very cool game! But it needs some instructions. I nearly quit right at the beginning, because I didn't understand I could do double jumps. And then I wouldn't have seen all the awesome book worlds.. It's really impressive that you've created multiple 3d worlds with very different styles within such a short time span!

The game crashed when i tried entering the pyramids.

I can't get into the door at the start :(

I've tried holding E like the tutorial says, but a blue X with a question mark pops up.

Really loving it! Reminds me a lot of super mario 64
