Thanks for all the support!

I like that you had a backstory :) the game was pretty fun. I found the physics of the platforming a bit funny, like I would overshoot when moving mid-air, but I couldn't put my finger on exactly what I found difficult with it. cool game!

Thanks! I also really liked the backstory wildcard for this game.

The game mechanics are a little bit simple, but to have a cheeky duck in the game was the best decision. I love this adorable bird.

For a first game this is indeed very good. I hope I can see more ducks in further games! :)

Thanks!

For a first game it's neat.

And i like the wacky story blurb, the only issue i have is that from time to time you can get a bit stuck on the side of the bookshelves and monitors but other than that the controls felt responsive.

I like the sorta speedrun aspect of it where you gotta eat the books fast and then hit the breadloaf goal.

Oh also good point for having controller support !

good job on your entry :)

Thanks! and about the getting stuck thing, the collisions on some of the objects need working on.

yeah collisions can be a mess to adjust especially in a jam since you're limited by time :/

Great first game, keep making them! This is a cool casual game concept that you followed through with pretty well. I think the controls need more work in general than anything else; it would really add to the fun and casual style of it.

Thanks!

The game is pretty rough but functionnal (never got stuck or had a bug) and even challenging because of the timer.

So yeah great first completed game !

Btw I don’t know if it’s a typo or not but you wrote Godot v2.3.2 on the submission page.

Developer

I did want to make it pretty hard, because it only has 5 levels.

Developer

Also, it was a typo.

Good game for a first try! I liked the randomness of the interpretation of the theme: why a duck? why does it EAT books?

There was some issue with the music when you changed levels, you might want to look into that for your next game :)

Developer

If you want to know why the duck eats books, you should click the yellow button in the main menu.

Developer (1 edit)

Also, i will look in to the music problem.

fun game loved the whole eating books would recommend it for when going on long trips

Thanks!
