Wow, this was amazing :)! fantastic game concept, graphics, music, the lot :) ... the graphics are so cute, and the main menu is just incredible. I like how the music subtly speeds up as the time runs down. I liked the gameplay concept, it was really fun to try and race around for books: one thing that could make it even better would be if there were multiple customers at once :)

Thanks! Was as fun playing this as making this! We had great artists on our team, and I'm glad we got to work with them this jam! I'm super proud for them!

Thank you for playing our game!

Ok

As other have said, great looking game with nice music, visual and controls.

I really like the use of the particle effect in this one, I know it’s dumb but I didn’t think about making a trail out of simple particle like this.

The menu is great too, it’s the first impression of someone’s game and you nailed it.

Thank you for playing our game and kind comment! We really appreciate that!

We wanted to have 3D main menu, because it's very rare for GWJ games and we knew it will be unique ;)

I'm glad you you liked it!

Instant fun ! I like the cute aestetic of it all ^^ the controls are easy to get used to but the game still poses a challenge cause of the scoring/time limit insentive.

I also like the fact that you let the game start slow so that you can get a grasp of "ok how do i get on the ladder climb up/down and let go of the ladder... etc"

If i had to nitpick i'd say the only small issue i had was that it can be hard to know precisely what level of the shelf you're gonna grab from when you're on the ladder but that's really not that big of an issue anyway.

Overall solid experience so congrats to you guys :)

Thank you for your comment and feedback!

You are right that aiming on the ladder can be hard. We planned to make dynamic camera that will change angle and zoom on the player so you can be more precise, but you know... Time constraints and random events were against us.

I hope you had fun playing!

Wasn't that hard to be honest, like i said more of a nitpick than a bigger issue, plus that's jams, XD time constraints can be tough !

and no worries i had a good time playing :)

Fun, short experience with really impressive art! The main character is just lovely!

Thank you!

All of our team, especially artists, were very talented, and I'm super glad I got to work with them this jam!

This was one of my fave games of the jam. If there were a bit more variety of tasks, and possibly the people coming a bit faster (or their speed gradually ramping up as time goes down or as levels advance) are about all the criticism/advice that I have.

Well done!

Developer

I fully agree with you!

Thank you for playing our game!

From a graphical point of view this game is a gem! This menu animation is gold. I also like this "Overcooked" vibe that game generates. :)

One question that puzzles me, why is there a monster? I never felt the need to lay down a book. Maybe it would be a little bit harder if the ladder is only movable without any book in hand? Just an idea.

But nevertheless I had fun playing the game. Great entry!

Thank you for your comment.

Barrel monster function was to remove orphaned  books from the ground so you will lose them if you don't put them on the shelf.

We are aware that game is pretty easy. We lost a lot of time on Sunday and there was no time for balancing the gameplay sadly. But we did our best

I hope you enjoyed the game!

This game is beautiful. It only takes 3 minutes to play, and isn't even challenging, but the art and music sell this game for me.

Thank you for your comment!

I planned to add a feature where customers bring and order multiple books to make it challenging, but on Sunday I had a power outage for half of a day and there was no time for that sadly :(

Thank you for playing our game!

An absolutely tremendous game. No bias here.

Really nice. Short but REALLY well polished. Smooth movement and despite the angle the books always went where I wanted them to. Music is great and I love how it gets faster with the timer. And lovely artstyle!
