Well, this was quite fun! It seemed really polished in some places.

But the main problem is, you cant die...

Yeeep! So true, I forget to set this after a bugfix I was doing.... Thanks for the comment!

I thought this was a really nice game and liked how the objective was something a bit different (go get your friend) than other similarly styled games.

that said…

  • I couldn’t quite figure out how to get ammo. At times it felt like it was regenerating on it’s own, other times I thought it might be a pickup I just wasn’t figuring out. Over all, I ran out of ammo so much that I eventually couldn’t even attack the bad guys.
  • You can die… or, at least, when my health hits zero, I can still keep playing. On one hand, it allows me the time to be able to get through the game, but, on the other, there’s no challenge.
  • I think your “friend” should aid in combat somehow. As it is, they just follow you, which is nice, but given how many enemy ships there are, it’s be nice to have backup for the return trip home!

Graphically, I really liked the look of this game and the UI fit the game quite well and was very clear. This is a really nice game. With some tweaks to the mechanics, this would be excellent, in my opinion!

Nice game with easy to use controls and nice audio 9/10

(It's running fine on my browser if you are still worried about that)

For the first jam game it's very good. There is some polish going on. Much better then my first game haha.
I liked that there are multiple weapons. The bomb/mine is a good stuff. It saved my ass few times.

I also liked the pointer that show you direction. Very important stuff for game with large environment. It's nice that you thought about that. It gave me a clear goal.

I would increase rotation speed since it's very slow and it's hard to dodge/turn/attack. Also when you collide with enemy you are shooting past him since guns are on the side. Was it intentional? I get around it by going backwards.

In general solid entry. Congratulations and I hope to see more of your games!

Would you like to rate my game and leave some feedback? Thanks!

The game feels very juicy. You can count every hit and is overall just fun to shoot. However, there are 2 problems. First, the bullets are way too small and blend a lot with the background. Second, the control is slow to turn, and often enough the enemies just end up shooting at me without any real way to defend (I mean, when they get behind you.) Also, I am not sure if you need an ammo system is necessary (perhaps, if you had different, more powerful weapons, then it would make sense to make the temporary). In rest, a very solid entry with a good amount of polish.

Really nice game. I like the muted colors for the background and most of the sprites. Together with the music it gives a nice somber athmosphere, which sets it apart from other similar games. I also like the random shapes that 'float' around. Makes me wonder if there is something else going on here :D
I think item placement could be improves. I spend a really long time not having any ammo. But then again, I didn't die, even after I reached zero health.

Anyway, good job.

(It ran fine in the browser for me, but I had also issues with the web export on slower machines)

I tried the web version but seems it's not working.
