I really like the aesthetic and the concept!

I love the hacker take on the Underground theme! Wish I had thought of something similar :P Great work!

Very hard for me! I didn't even get to understand what I was doing! Liked the music and sounds!

the concept is amazing! i really love the shaders and the artstyle! great job!

Very original idea! Took me quite a while to figure out the mechanics, but then I finally made some money! (more than from gamedev, haha). The tension when you are getting close to alert 5 is good, combined with the colour changes as you progress, I like it.

Perhaps just more of a tutorial and like others have said, a difficulty curve would be good.

I actually stumbled on your YouTube video about the gamejam, so I was going to go out of my way to play this one. :) And thanks for playing ours!

Developer

Thanks!

I had plans to do a tutorial introducing the tools one by one, rather than that horrible page full of text. But, y'know, time :(

The difficulty curve is definitely a point, and would have been pretty easy to do (Even just scaling based on your lifetime earnings, it's a rough barometer of experience!)

All the more to know for the next one :)

The game is pretty fun. With some more polish, level progression and extra mechanics I could easily see it being full game. Really wish there was a way of countering the bots tho (or if there was, I couldn't find it)

Developer

Thanks!

Yeah, there's nothing you can do about the bots. I had plans for smokebombs etc to 'stun' them for a while, but had to cut a bunch of cool ideas from my scope :( It's very much a race against time.

This was a super cool and unique game! We were playing it and having fun, but we feel like we might be missing a concept? Is there any way to defend your upload point, or does that aspect make it an inevitable race against time?

It was certainly challenging, and I am still a poor hacker. :D Love the aesthetic...the game is jamming!

Well done!

Developer

Na, unfortunately there's no defensive stuff. My plans for smokebombs that would stun them for a while had to be cut because I ran out of time.

Thanks for the feedback!
