Nice intro! Interesting interpretation of the theme and application of the wildcards, as well.
The game froze when I tried to leave the first room the first time. The second time I fell down a hole, because I saw a hole and needed to know. The third, I got hit with a fireball. Since each time I had to start from the beginning, I stopped there. Seems like I was going to be typing "unstabilized' a lot and I thought I got the picture.
The movement controls for the character felt pretty good. Good accessibility options as well. Well done!
there were some minor additions in later rooms but nothing mindblowing, i feel like you caught most of the game there! i intentionally had to down-scope a lot for this jam, but i'm glad the parts i put efforts on came out nice. thanks for your feedback! :)
I really like the concept! The intro got me hooked! The only issue I had is typing the same thing, again and again, which made me lose interest after a bit. It needs some variation in words. Since it is based on one word, maybe randomizing the sequence of letters might make it more interesting.
that's a good idea, the repetitiveness was part of the concept but it definitely made the game less interesting! good idea with the order of the letters! thanks for playing! :)
Hmm, that is, in trying to get rid of the monotonous life, we come to ... an even more monotonous life? Logic is out of the game :/) Well, I learned how to write the word "unstabilized"
Very unique game. The intro sequence was wild!! I made it to level 15 or 16 before I couldn't take typing unstabilized anymore. Nice job. 😆
hey, thanks for the comment! glad you enjoyed the intro, i had fun making it!
congrats on your attempt to become unstabilized..! :)
I like the graphics (minimalistic approach of the levels is great) but it feels a bit inconsistent -- characters and elements are a bit meshy? I like the music and overall feel!
thanks for playing!
This game is definitely different than the rest! It would be nice to restart a level instead of all the way from the beginning though.
thank you for your comment! i originally wanted to implement more roguelike elements, hence the perma-death, but it might indeed have been a friendlier possibility to restart from the level you died on.
You ever write the same word so many times that you start to question whether its a real word or not... Unstabilized.
imagine after a week of development! hahaha, thanks for giving it a try! :)
Epic intro and nice menu.
I actually really like touchtyping games with my 70-80 WPM, but I got bored after typing the same word again and again on level 12.
If this is a metaphor on corporations being “different” to other corporations, than well done, but gameplay wise I feel this could have been fun with different words to type.
thanks for playing! the gameplay was intentionnally limited for the jam, thanks for the suggestion to improve the gameplay!
The intro is great, really hooked me in! :) Super unique concept all around. I finished up to 10 levels but I just couldn't bring myself to type that word again! You must have done it so often in development haha.
Congrats on a great entry. With a bit more variety in the words I would have played longer. Is there an end? Wonder how far away I was...
hey, thanks for your feedback! i have indeed typed that word quite a lot (and eventually implemented a way to cheat, for the sake of testing), haha!
it was intended as a limited scope for the jam, where you stop when you want, but there is indeed an end, on level 42 (which i hope no one reaches!).
cheers!
