Hey, not going to repeat what others have said. Bonus points for having a secret :) That dude looks familiar :) I really enjoyed this one. Of the scale for atmosphere. Great work.
Thanks so much! I love the secret, makes me smile :D
Thanks for playing, and thanks for the kind words!
nice game! similarly to what everyone else has been saying, super nice atmosphere, graphics and polish, i liked the audio too. however the gameplay itself while being immersive was kind of slow. also the ui text seemed kind of weird and not crisp, aswell as the graphics sometimes.
Yeah, that was definitely a common complaint, it being too slow. I think in the future I’ll need to take what I think is appropriate, double it (like I did this time), then double it again :D
The game is rendered in a low resolution, so that’s likely the issue with the crispness. I should definitely look into optimizing into a higher res in future!
Thanks for playing, and thanks for the feedback and kind words!
You manage to build a very cool atmosphere with the fog and the lighting! I think the game would benefit from slightly better lighting in the area around you, and e.g. the ability to sprint. Other than that, the game is really strong on conveying the creepy mood. Nice!
I’m definitely learning a lot about player agency this time around! Thank you for the feedback!
Thanks for playing!
Very creepy, polished game. I included it in my compilation video series for the Godot Wild Jam #56, if you’d like to check it out. :)
Haha, love it!
Thanks for playing!
This seemed really good. Lots of polish everywhere including a full fledged menu system with key rebinding and everything. It's a shame that the movement speed is _so painfully slow_ that I gave up after just one skull. It wasn't very clear where I was supposed to even take them and after wanting around with the first one for ten minutes or so before finally placing it on the pedestal I just couldn't bring myself to go collect the other ones.
Amazing atmosphere, great sound, really good graphics and everything else though! I felt genuinely scared for a bit after picking up the skull even though I never encountered anything. I also found the "secret" apparently which I just thought was a random out of place object :D
Ohhh this is the issue with not having enough time for playtesting!
I’m finding it quite difficult to make gameplay paths obvious, without feeling like I’m being condescending.
Thank you so much for the feedback, and thanks for playing!
Great atmosphere from the visuals and audio. Having the landmarks poke out of the fog was a nice way to find your way around.
I didn't manage to get the last skull. I'm not sure if it was stuck in the one rock that was glowing and whispering.
The Giant's Causeway style hex stone environment was really cool.
Ah darn it, yeah that’s a game breaking bug right there! It absolutely is inside that rock.
Thank you for finding that issue so quickly!
After a patch goes out, I’ll let you know, and you should be able to reload an autosave from the last time you used a pedestal.
Thanks so much for playing!
OK, you should be able to load your game and finish up now, if you like :)
Looks like the fix worked. It ran great. That auto-save came in handy.
