How does your game tie into the theme?
Taking queues from Mary Shelley's "Frankenstein", you are constructing a monster from body parts. Or are you the monster?

Funny game! I included it in my compilation video series for the Godot Wild Jam #56, if you’d like to check it out. :)

The cadaver drawing was a bit TOO good. Great job with this submission :^)

ps: I somehow managed to get stuck in the logs in the graveyard. Send help 😭

So fun! The art is nice and the music is fitting. I enjoyed avoiding the enemies and nearly getting caught.
One of the enemies got stuck facing a part that I needed which added some suspense. Great submission!

Developer

Thank you! Glad you had fun :)

The full/empty grave sprites also took me a while to figure out, but I later saw the help page which helped a lot. Making them more obvious or putting that info on the menu screen would help. Good work on taking a concept and giving it a full start to finish. I liked the comedic bits on the story too. Well done.

Developer

Thank you very much! I agree, making the help page more obvious would help clear up confusion in the objectives, thanks for the feedback :)

I love the hand drawn art style. There's quite a lot here for a one man show, great work! I was pretty confused for a lot of it, like what my objective was or what I should be doing. I did slowly pick up on it though.

Something more to distinguish the fresh graves would have helped me waste less time checking every grave at the start. Maybe some fresh flowers or something. I also noticed quite a few y sort issues with the tiles. Maybe the player's origin was off or something?

Once I had all the pristine body parts I had no idea what to do next, though I did eventually find the ending screen by wandering around. I also never figured out what to do with the custard but I got through just fine anyway!

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it! Its actually a team of 5 that work on this, I'm just the guy with the accounts on the discord and itch lmao. Thank you for all the feedback! I forgot to add the custard to the how to play screen, it can be used to distract the guards :)
