Really solid first submission! Congratulations :)

I especially appreciated the idea of the timed acid rain, and the levels were clear and well designed. Sometimes, certain enemies were unnecessary (like the jigsaw over the flames during an acid storm :P), but that's not a big deal. The timer, for me, was the biggest enemy - in the sense that it was perceived as the main danger. Just my experience, but I hope that it helps for the future :)

Great job!

Great job for your first game! The only critiques I have are the level selection starting at beginning (already mentioned below) and the acid rain going through the ceiling despite not hurting you. First use of acid rain (of the games I've played), so good thinking there!

I kept the credits running long after the music was over, in case there was anything else, but maybe I missed it when I looked away for a bit. ;)

Fun game and the credits made me laugh! The art was nice and the levels had a fair difficulty progression. I think the fire hazards could use a little warning before they appear and also an object that the flames come out of. The springs also felt a bit too powerful in places with ceilings, so I died easily if I simply touched one. One quality of life improvement also is to set the player to the level they just finished when in the map. This is really good for a first game, so nice work!

Thank you for your feedback! We did want to implement a lot more features and also set  the player to the current level on the word map but due to time limitations we decided we needed to focus on level design and gameplay so unfortunately we didn’t manage to do that in time.  We are glad you liked it anyway :)

Couldn't beat the second castle. A good fast paces platformer. I felt the difficulty curve to be a bit too steep.

thank you for your feedback, it was our intention to give back some of the pain caused by Dark Souls, so  git gud
