this is the start of a great platformer but I was wondering where the pixel art train went? the realistic train just didn't make much sense imo, and also I found the dash jump combo really hard to pull off. But with a bit more polishing this can become a great game
I was able to get to the end! Pretty funny seeing a platformer where you play as a train. :) I thought you had some nice puzzles here with the dash and jump using up coal.
The dash + double jump part was actually pretty tricky. Interesting concept, although I agree that the realistic train asset was a bit off ;)
Interesting platformer but how come you used a different sprite for the train in game than in your cover image? The photo realistic one doesn't fit with the rest of the art.
Very unique take on the theme. I like it.
At first I was confused how to get to the train car up on higher platforms, but then I realized the train could JUMP! Pretty amazing lol. Then the train could also double jump and dash! I got pretty far into the game, a few of the jumps were really tight needing pretty precise jump/double jump/dash combos, but overall really nice layout. I did eventually get stuck on a later level where there is a one way grass barrier at the upper right. Not sure what combo of jump/dash I needed to solve that one.
