Very fun game so much going on and fits the theme perfectly. You already noted the bugs I experienced and was not able to find where I was supposed to jump too, tried multiple times and even tried from different locations on the train but did not see "my friends..."

Overall great game though thanks for submitting had lots of fun

Thanks for your feedback! There are two zones in the end, a red one and a green one with frogs in it. It's a bit difficult here because you need to jump off before the train arrives, and you only have a short time window.
You did not miss much though (except for a x3 bonus). :)

yeah, we noticed too late unfortunately that jumping off at the right time is pretty specific especially if you didn't notice it in time :(

I thought this game was pretty hard, mainly because of the player controller feeling weird. 

The music and art looks good and you finished a lot of mechanics, which is cool to see.

Thanks for your feedback! Do you have a pointer on what to improve on the player controller? maybe it's the movement (e.g. you don't come directly to a stop but glide on briefly)?

Yes I would say that that is the main reason, it felt like I was walking on ice, which was hard for me to then also juggle the stealth and a good time to lockpick mechanic (that was a good combination of itself though)

ah. we tried adding a bit more friction but felt that any more than what we currently had was a little bit unnatural as the charcter would come to a halt very quickly and would look odd. maybe we could have added a bit more though... thanks for the advice! these little things are what adds up to make a game feel good at the end of the day :)

haha yeah, theres a lot of safes the goal is to get a lot of money and to get a highscore, but we didn't signal that well enough :D

Very cute game. Ran really well in the browser for me. I liked the unlocking mechanic and the way the frog was involved was great .:) Nice job.

Very cool game. Was fun to solve the puzzles! I really liked the lock mechanic, well done! The only problem I had is I had no Sounds and Music. I assume it was a bug or something. Good Job!

Oh, weird. sounds and music are supposed to be there, haven't heard anyone else had that problem.. that sucks because the lockpick mechanic is even more satisfying when you can hear the clicks and clacks of the lockpick haha :D

Fun game focused more on the mechanics than the visual appeal (which is great too that is a design decision), I don't know how to end the game I tried 3 times, and I guess I need to jump in time. Very original.

You are supposed to jump at the green part on the side of the train that shows up with all the frogs on it at the very end of the 5 minutes. Although we do know that in hindsight we should have gave the player way more time to jump since its a one time thing, and if you accidently miss it it sucks to start over.

OK, a proper review. Hilarious! Proper old-school humour with the frog lock picker! And the Ragequit option was perfect for when a guard catches you lock picking!

I want to play other games from the jam, but I'll come back and replay to get further if I get a moment!

Oh I instantly love the animated shadow_offset_x in the menu :D

Also nice you had rebind with both keyboard and controller. That is actually very interesting. I guess you can check if it's a InputEventKeyboard or InputEventControllerKey or whatever they are called. Noted :)

Would have been nice if you could see the player through the wall/roof of the train when walking on the outside. Not sure how they do that in games, something with the stencil buffer IIRC... Oh well, that's maybe a little out of scope for 9 days.

Mind blown when I realize I could go under tables! This is almost like INSIDE!

I made it to the locotmotive, but fell through the front somehow, only had a few seconds left. It was a little harsh that there were no checkpoints, so I guess I missed the ending :(

Music got a bit repetitive. I like the lock picking, once I understood how it worked. Some nice sneaking :) Many wildcards!

Loved reading your experiences here. There isn't much to the ending, just a super tight landing spot. I didn't even think about decreasing the visibility range from the other side of the car, and it gave me frustration around the walkways ^_^ We unfortunately didn't have the export with the fixed collisions in time, actually exporting when the jam ended.

Native version worked though. The lock mechanic is good. Controls are also nice. Great fun to play. I liked how you can run away from the guards and they just forget about you. Makes the game fun to replay.

Also. The engine has no colliders in the front. so you can just run right on the tracks.

yeah, we fixed the collisions on the engine but for some reason it got reset right before submission haha.

Very fun little game ! Browser version was a bit laggy for me.

Could've used a checkpoint, I missed the exit at the end (I didn't know this was time gated) and I didn't want to restart everything. The frog implementation is very good, the lockpick mechanic was an awesome minigame, although it comes up a bit too often imo. Overall very charming and polished game. Congrats !

Edit : some of the dialogue disappeared too fast, I didn't have time to read

Thank you! we are aware the browser version runs more poorly but it was playable enough to the point where we thought its fine to upload it like this.

the exit is a bit hard if you are on the first playthrough you are right, we noticed this at hindsight. although we have tried to make it clear with sound effects, and visual elements, probably not enough haha. checkpoint is a good idea. the dialogue was a last minute feature but i noticed that as well after submitting haha.

Fun game. I enjoyed trying to speed run it. A couple issues made the game slightly frustrating. One was the occasional sporadic behavior from the guards, and the other was getting stuck mid-air when jumping on certain objects and having to restart. But overall great entry and great job on the 3D model

Browser version didn't work well for me so I tried the Windows one and it worked much better. Great use of the theme and wild cards! I really liked how the frog was the lock pick! The menu and configuration options are a nice bonus for accessibility!

Yup, we saw that it is runs relatively ok on browser so we decided to upload it as well even though it doesn't run perfectly. on our machines we only witnessed the occasional stutter. Thanks for the compliments!

The game loads and works now, sort of. The performance isn’t great. (on web)

I think the lock pick mechanic deserves praise.

I don’t like clowns and I had a scare playing this.

At some point there was a clown stuck on a door I was supposed to go through, and I couldn’t go through.

Thanks for trying it out! It really doesn't run too well in the browser but we decided to upload it anyways. Runs much better for me in the executable. The guards can't open locked doors unfortunately so we probably should fire them.

yeah, 3d games in godot + web are a lil iffy haha. but we found it works fine other than a few stutters here and there, so we decided to upload it to web still.

Glad to see you liked the lock pick mechanic :D I probably put too much time into it haha but it did turn out pretty cool.

we are aware that the guards(clowns) sometimes got stuck on doors due to navmesh problems, didn't manage to fix that in time.
