Thanks for submitting - looks like you tried to place a lot into this game.

Unfortunately, I did not understand exactly what I was doing... seemed that when you clicked on an action result was shown but you could still click again but not sure what you were clicking on.

Never seemed able to catch other cats and when my cat lost its life game just seemed to freeze

Hopefully I can came back and try again.

This is very ambitious for a first "complete" game, especially for a game jam. It's very impressive what you managed to put together with the limited time.

As feedback; try to use transitions when changing scenes, it helps a lot with the presentation of a game. Also, it was probably not included due to time constraints but, I would suggest having animations when a cat is defeated. Just a simple dragging off of the screen would help the player visualize what the actual outcome of the battle was, like in the old pokemon games.

Anyways, nice job on delivering this!

Thank you! I definitely felt that all those were missing from the "final" product, but they were left out due to time and general burnout by the end. I may come back and update this after the voting is done, but I have an idea for my next game I'll start working on shortly.

Thank you for the compliments and feedback!

Also, I loved your game! Definitely one of my favorites from the jam and Its awesome what you made!

It definitely has the feel of a pokemon game, with the random battle and catch system.

Unfortunately, I think I lost out on the game because I stayed on the path until the path just stopped, and at that point, the cats were too high level.

Otherwise, it's a competent piece you put together. Learn from this and shoot higher in December!

Thank you! I definitely learned a lot and I'm excited to take that with me in my future games!

Cute art and music. The cat designs are fun. The game froze but I managed to catch the tentacle cat (but the he died 😭)

Thank you! Sorry the game crashed for you! Tried to get as many bugs sorted as I could.
