you've got a lot in there, pretty extensive for a jam game! I was a bit confused about the collectibles (e.g. what does catnip do, where do I see how much life I have), also I found out pretty late that I can jump higher if I crouch before, but still overall a pretty solid entry!

The controls are a little clunky but it's understandable in the context of a jam. Even so, the movement options made for a very enjoyable platforming on level 5, even if it was quite challenging. Overall it was pretty fun! Also nice ost for level 4 haha

The music was great, I liked the quirky art, and I appreciated the ability to remap controls easily. But I could not figure out how to get past the pipes in the very beginning of the first level.

Glad you liked it, thanks for the feedback :D yeah I think when we were playtesting we hadn't really considered that we already knew where we were meant to go, in retrospect we should've had some people go in blind and tell us if the level layouts were intuitive enough

It's a competently made platformer beat'em'up. Not much else to say about it.

Stick together as a team, shoot for the stars, and you might just reach the moon. See you guys in December!

Developer

Thank you! I'm glad that competence was the vibe you got, we're all brand new to game dev and we came a long way in a week lol.

This was great! I think the strongest aspect of this game is the level design with the pipes!

The main issue I had was with the jump mechanic, specifically the way you couldn't change direction or micro-adjust mid-air, so it made jumping to pipes a little frustrating. But other than that, really cool!

Developer

I worked on the movement and kinda just winged it so I appreciate the feedback :D you can actually influence your direction in air just a lil bit, the amount was just some arbitrary percentage I came up with. In retrospect I wish I would've had some people play it blind, because all of my fiddling and changing was only informed by me and the others playing it for hours and hours a day so we were naturally used to it already

i like the health bar and the powerups!

Developer

Thank you! We were pretty proud of the health bar idea lol
