Game Description
You've received a strange job offer from your temp agency, a position as a technician at an old dam near your hometown. You've never worked in a dam before, but why not? Dams have a fascinating way of always giving the impression of being on a fragile balance between being held back and breaking. What could go wrong?
How does your game tie into the theme?
The central objective of the game is not to overload the dam or turbines to prevent the dam from bursting.

I see great potential in this one: the premise is interesting and the atmosphere is spot-on. But the game really suffers from a lack of a tutorial or at least illustrated instructions. I lost on day 2 because I couldn’t figure out what do the power controls described in the booklet correspond to on the actual panel…
Nice idea. But it lacks Linux launcher. I run the game from wine, but some slider and buttons do not work as expected, maybe because I run though emulator, Idk
The visuals for this game are on point! I love the color palette, the pixel art, and just the overall look of this. The vibe you have going on perfectly encapsulates your mechanical theme.
I will say that I did run into issues understanding how to best navigate and tackle problems that happened to the dam. The booklet of instructions was a bit intimidating; I even ended up causing a bug where every time I restarted the game, my flood levels would just rise in seconds. It probably sounds dumb, but maybe having like a quick step-by-step highlighting what parts to hit for early levels might help better teach players unfamiliar with these types of games.
Regardless, good stuff!
Thanks for playing!
Yes, unfortunately the introduction to the game is a bit rough,
Basically I wanted to introduce each mechanic separately in a dedicated level: water level, valves repair, turbines etc.. But I started too late and ran out of time, (the booklet was made something like 15 minutes before sending the game ahah) I even removed a seismometer that was supposed to be in the notepad location because it was too complicated without a real tutorial.
For the bug, can you tell me more about the conditions so that I can try to fix it?
Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed the game, :)
I'll take the time to rework all this after the end of the jam.
Glad to hear! Will have to add it to the itch collection for future updates. The bug cause is a good question though. Trying to replicate it right now but can't figure out what I did. It was like midphone call, I left the water valve up so water levels could go up (I don't remember why I did that btw). And then the valve just became unresponsive, lost the game, and water levels kept staying at 70-80 water level every time I restarted the game. Of course, closing the entire game fixed it but it's like the statistics from the previous sessions kept rolling over.
Amazing game overall. If it had a little bit more polish, it would look like a game sold on Steam. Good job! The main thing that I would improve is having smoother tutorials. I was pretty confused what I was doing most of the time, even though there were instructions there.
Thanks for playing!
Yes I ran out of time to make a real tutorial unfortunately. I had planned to introduce each mechanic separately in a level to make the learning curve smoother but not everything went as planned. The notepad is a temporary solution ahah.
Glad you liked it!
I've got lots of plans for this game, I'm going to keep working on it after the jam is over, take the time to make a real story (a real tuto) and add more content. So stay tuned ! ^^
For those who have already downloaded the game:unfortunately there is a bug breaking the game,I have seen with the moderation to make a bug fix,Problem fixed, enjoy !
