Thanks for the submission! It was fun to gather ingredients and create the weapons. As GoodGuyGames said, I think having to wait for the fadeout in between screens took a while (so maybe just a faster tween?).

I also wondered about whether one could fail in this game (it seems like the lowest price still made money), so I never really felt like I needed to make tradeoffs (there were always other customers just a click away). Maybe adding some time limit or some other forcing function to make sure the player is always making progress and interesting decisions.

Nice visuals and SFX. The gameplay was simple and the reputation mechanism was interesting.

But I think 3 different scenes for buy/forge/sell was unnecessary, especially when u had to wait till the slow fade effect ends.

This is really cute! Feels like a relaxing Gameboy experience. I liked the music and it was satisfying to craft and then sell the materials. It didn't seem like there was much reward for progressing so I wasn't motivated to continue beyond novice level, but I still had fun! Nice work.

I played until I was an export, that was a fun little game.

I didn't love the random haggling mechanic, but I must admit it's pretty exciting. The loading between the screens was a bit long, making the game not as fluid. Still, all these mechanics that I find individually clunky combined into a nice experience.

It's very interesting for me as a game designer to play games like these for this reason. Fun can be found in clunkiness. In theory, you should have consequences for player failure other than losing time. But here, I think it serves to improve immersion as a management game. (In this case, failure is mismanaging your inventory so you have to go back to the store, or missing an haggle).

With that said I still didn't play all the way through because of these game mechanics issues I had.

Permanently losing inventory space due to leftover shields & swords that you cannot sell anymore because you've upgraded is pretty feel bad.

Huge congrat on a first successful jam game, you focus on the essentials in pushing a playable, polished game.

Solid simple game entry! Really enjoyed the music!

I enjoyed haggling for my hard made crafts! I did get a bit stuck in the shop and ended up spending all my money of wood in my bid to escape :D
I had fun though thanks for submitting!

Cute game! I had the same issue with the shop, but I really liked the core concept! Loved when the lady who I sold my cheap sword too admitted she would have paid double for it (kinda hit home there, haha)

I couldn't figure out how to get out of the shop, so I couldn't progress.  I restarted the game a few times to try other orders but couldn't get out.

I probably should have used a back button like I did in many of the other scenes, but if you click on the door, that allows you to exit the shop. Sorry about that.
