What a great game! I played multiple times because at first, I didn't realize you could train your soldiers to acquire new units. On subsequent playthroughs I unlocked them all and it felt very satisfying to throw knight units back out at the enemy knights. Great job!

Thank you for playing!

Okay, so I wasn't using the right stick to look or aim. That does make it a little bit easier. What I was referring to was when moving with the left stick and then stopping the character will sometimes look in a different direction from where you stopped.

I enjoyed the music and the theme, but the controls are buggy, even with a gamepad. As soon as I would stop moving the characters aim would shift so that the only way I could reliably fire at a zombie was to run straight at it.

Thank you for your feedback. All of the rewards that downgrade a particular stat provide a larger increase in another stat. Had I play tested the game more rather than adding features and fixing bugs until the last minute, I would have reworked the rewards system so it isn't completely random.

I wanted to do a bullet hell/heaven game, but I didn't quite get there. I was more focused on getting something playable that was close to what I wanted.  Thanks for playing and leaving feedback!

Sorry about that. I'll have to look in to saving the settings. I know it's possibly, I just haven't done it before in Godot. I wanted to do more with the upgrade system but time got the better of me. I just generated 20+ reward upgrades and made it mostly random. Thank for playing!

Great game! At first, I thought it was way too easy, but then started to notice that the zombies were spawning faster than I could kill them. I really enjoyed the music and the synty polygon characters, and I had a good time shooting zombies.

Thank you very much! I appreciate you playing my game.

I really enjoyed playing your game and I thought you did very well with the theme. I really appreciate the narrative you provided explaining the real-world event you based your game on. One suggestion I would give is to maybe give the enemies an AI to more effectively target the player when you're the last one standing rather than randomly appearing and firing, potentially at nothing.

Great game all around! The graphics, the music, the concept, it was all very well executed. My only complaint would be that if I had to move more than one position to avoid a ball, I felt like I was doomed to get hit. Maybe it's just a matter of timing the jumps properly, but I felt like it wasn't registering the jumps fast enough. Also, I really enjoyed the flood of bowling balls when you hit the game over screen. That was a nice touch. I had a great time playing your game.

Very nice graphics, and I really like the loot system. Others have already pointed out some areas of improvement. I would just add that during the missions it was hard to tell when you hit a barrier because it was so dark and there really wasn't anything in the background. At one point I could see zombies in the distance, but I couldn't get any closer to them and they were not moving at all.

A very nice and polished game! I enjoyed the voice-over intro story that I almost missed because I didn't see the scroll until I was maybe 10-15 minutes into the game. The puzzle progression felt really good too. They didn't get super difficult right away. Great job!

Fun game! I enjoyed discovering the dinosaur animation. After destroying a few ships I tried exploring the map a little bit. Got hung up on the shore at some point and got pummeled because I couldn't move. The AI for the enemy boats was really good.

I actually found a bug in the last hour before the end of the jam that was not scaling the rifleman. Once I fixed the bug I didn't have time to playtest the difficulty and even I cannot finish the 10th wave as it is for the submission. Thanks for playing!

Great game! I really like the concept of using prime numbers to defeat the enemies. The music and sound were fantastic! I've got to say though, I'm pretty good with math and even I found this to be a bit difficult, but it's probably more a matter of my reaction time. I still had a great time playing though.

Thanks for playing!

Thank you for playing and for the kind words!

I love the art style, and the music was fantastic! I was also confused by the controls and had to figure some of it out on my own in order to progress. I'm not really sure how well I did in the game considering it offered no clear objective other than what was provided in your description on the download page. Still a great entry and I had fun playing it. Thank you!

Very fun game! I enjoyed the opening cinematic and the gameplay felt great. I was confused as some of the ammo pickups decreased my total ammunition. I assume this is because they are different types of ammunition, but that wasn't really made clear and if felt like I was losing ammo for some reason. I still had fun progressing through each level. Great job and thank you!

Thank you for playing my game! I appreciate the feedback and I'm happy to hear you enjoyed it.

This is a beautiful game! The amount of detail is stunning for a game jam. Others have mentioned the character animations could use some work. My first and second playthroughs were vastly different though, probably just bad RNG, but I wasn't getting any significant upgrades in my first playthrough and by wave 10 it was just a chore running around in circles doing pitiful damage to the hordes that were surrounding me. The second playthrough though, I immediately got a huge reload reduction, recoil reduction, and damage boost. I finally stopped around wave 23 because it was too easy just mowing everything down without having to really bother aiming or pay attention. It was still a very fun game, and if it was a fully fleshed out game, I could see myself paying money for it. Well done!

Great job you two! The game was very hard until I could afford quite a few of the upgrades. Managed to make it to wave 17. I really like the art style you used.

Thanks! I wanted to include 1 or 2 boss waves that would have had a more intense music track that I had ready to add to the game. Scope creep got the better of me and the majority of my progress happened the weekend before the jam was over so it didn't make it in.  Thank you for playing!

Hehe...I was using bone animation for the character model and didn't bother to include the cigar, but for the title screen I just used an idle animation sprite from the provided sprite sheet. Thank you for playing!

Thanks! Glad you liked it.

Thank you very much! I'm glad you had fun playing my game.

This is a fun little survivor game. As others have said, it could use a little variety with powerups or new abilities. I like that you can fire in all directions. Great job!

That was a really fun game. I like the concept you used for defeating the enemies. I did, however, quickly forget the pattern for some of the enemies, though now I remember there was a cheat sheet that I should have been using. I still had fun playing the game. Made it to wave 6.

Took me a few tries to figure out the sequence to use for the final week, and wow, did that get dark! Also, I'm not sure how I ended up with laxatives to sabotage the lemonade stand because I don't remember picking them up from the house. This was a fun and relaxing game. Well done!

Nice game! I thought the clock was a saw blade at first, so I was avoiding them. A fun short game. My high score was 510.

As others have pointed out, that intro was amazing! A very interesting twist on a tower defense game. I enjoyed it very much. Thank you!

Ha! The music you used in your title screen is the same music I used as the main track for my jam entry. There were a lot of instructions, and I'm still not sure exactly what everything does, but I managed to set off the plasma nuke and save the planet. I like the concept, but I feel like the instructions didn't really help much in explaining how everything worked. Still a good game entry for the jam. Thank you!

Thank you! It took me a while to wrap my head around making proper UI screens in Godot, but I feel like I've got a good handle on it now.

I had fun with this game, and I appreciate the bit of story background provided in the intro. I found it very challenging to defeat all of the enemies and I kept getting overrun by the minions spawned during the boss fight. Great game!

This is a neat game. It would have been nice if the fights were more interactive rather than the outcome being randomly determined. Also, I felt like the game became too easy when I got the invisibility ring, but I didn't really play much beyond getting the 99 coins needed to "win". All in all, a great entry. Thanks!

A very difficult game indeed. I couldn't make it past the 3rd room after several attempts. I enjoyed the art style and the challenge. I did notice that some of the enemies would get stuck on the obstacles, which made some of them easy to cheese, but something you may want to consider working around in future games. Overall, you did a great job!

Here is my game. It is a roguelike shooter style game.

Thank you very much!

Wow, I'm not sure I made it past the first level. This game is really challenging. I found myself often pressing the wrong keys for the action I was going for, and some of the collisions were very unforgiving. Congrats on making your first Godot game! I enjoyed it.
