Very interesting. I liked to ride on the bats but maybe it wasn't intended?
Even if not, maybe you could explore it somehow.

I notice the music suddenly comes on when you die, and goes away when you leave the beginning areas. I wonder if you intended the music to play throughout, but instead placed a positional audio near the beginning of the level when you meant not to do it? Guess I'm not really sure what may be the cause, but I am guessing you didn't intend it that way.

I do notice the bats push you down into the ground until you kill them. Once (or maybe eve more than once), I was able to fall through the world, and had to reload the page to start over from the beginning.

I actually liked this game, it looks pretty good and the mechanics are actually working pretty well for the most part.
I think it could work, nice job on this game!

My feedback has already been stated in other comments, but the most fun I had was riding the bats. I think that could be an interesting mechanic to explore! Great work on the first submission!

A decent effort at a one-room action platformer.  Would have benefited greatly from both sfx and some feedback on when I'm hitting the bats, and when the bats are hitting me.  A health bar for the player would be huge.  After beating the game and returning to the menu, the button to start again did not work.

I don't mean to rip apart your game.  It's a good effort, especially for a first time, and next time around I'm sure you'll get even more done you wanted to.  Overall a playable experience I was compelled to finish, so that can't be all bad!  Thanks for giving us a game to play!

I think it lacked polish, the damage area of the character or the enemies is not very well understood, but with a little more work it could be fine

good job :D

Well, it is what it is. As a basic prototype it's fine, but as a real game... no.

Pros:

  • Explanation of the narrative
  • Cool sound and graphics

Cons:

  • The game says game over when bats hit you long enough, but hp is not displayed anywhere
  • Attack and bat hitboxes, and overall attacks are just plain bad
  • Very short

Hope you'll doo better next time!
