Interesting take on the theme. I like the simple art but wish there were some SFX and music to go with it. The gameplay was challenging and with out a jump indicator very tough to know where I was going to go. Would have been nice if it had more side to side to start to make you feel you were accomplishing something to start and let you get into the game. But has your first submission this is pretty good - thanks for submitting hope you keep it up.

Thanks for the encouragement and feedback! I plan to make a few updates to this game and I'll take the horizontal consideration into the next version. I'll see you in a future jam!

I really liked this one, the mechanic with jumping in just the perfect way to land on the right areas, feels really good in this game. Very nice job on this, it's a lot of fun!

Hello,

I liked the minimalist artistic style, which is beautiful and matches the style of the game.

I think allowing the player to move the character while jumping would be more intuitive, as would platforms that could be crossed from bottom to top.

Congratulations on your first jam, I hope to see you in the next ones! 馃コ

I liked the concept, but would have liked to see an indicator of where the jump would land, at least initially. I thought the controls were broken when I couldn't move with the arrow or A/D keys till I figured out you just can jump. Nice art style. Would be nice to add sound effects too

  • good minimalistic pixel art style. I liked little Arthur.
  • the jump took a little too much time to load
  • The jump feel can be a little tighter
  • fun core mechanic
  • the game can be improved by audio

could do with more polish but it was still one of the submissions I had the most fun with. It's just the type of game I like.

I think the core mechanics work well, but I miss some sound effects or music. And perhaps the jump loading could be faster, to speed up the gameplay more, even so it's a great job :D!

Thanks for playing and for the feedback, I plan to implement these suggestions into an update for the game!

Cool idea and a fun process to get a feel for the jump.  Looks nice and everything is clear at first glance!

Thank you!

Nice jump mechanic and pixel art. The game could definitely use some sound effects and music tho. But it was still pretty fun to hop around.

Developer

Thanks! I agree. I ran out of time before figuring out audio, but I'll implement that soon. I appreciate the feedback!

Cute pixel art with a concept reminding me of my worst hours of Jump King. I think it is not really clear when you charge a jump how much you will jump and a sound effect or a bigger view of the character would be great. It is still pretty doable after a bit of adaptation, so great job !

Good jump mechanics, and I liked the pixel art. I wasn鈥檛 able to get the sword but had fun regardless!

Thank you for playing and for the kind words Jeremy!
