fluid movement, cool music, and cute pixel sprite. not much more you could ask for in a platformer, i do agree with some of the previous comments about difficulty, but once you get the hang of the timings it's not so bad. good job!

Fun! Flying Stupid is right that the difficulty curve is a little odd, but the jumping felt good to me. The trail behind the character was nice.

While it is small and short (and quite possible to manipulate the bat's AI into a pretty early ending - not a bad thing imo), it feels complete enough for a jam submission. I also like how the game seamless blends into the jam page, small touch that helps.

Music was nice too!

Man is this game hard right off the bat (no pun intended). It would have been nice to have a little more of a ramp in difficulty. The platforms disappear even if you miss them so it makes sections with lasers and timing tough.  I wasn't able to get very far so I'm not sure if abilities or powerups help with the platforming or not.  I think some additional time for level design would make this a decent platformer.

Great work for a first submission!
