Fun prototype, I like the ship model. At first I kept gunning it straight for the goal thing, but then I just started having fun flying around. :)

Thanks so much for help this jam. The controls are overall pretty good. You can see my vid on how the controls worked from a player prospective ;)

So, I checked the source of the game, because I was wondering if the planet in the distance could be reached… It turns out that no, but that solution is ingenous. The illusion of distance is perfect! (speaking of distance, I didn't realize the "distance to event horizon" was a timer)

Anyway, the game looks really great. Not often do we see such 3D in a jam. The controls ae a bit akward sometimes, but feel nice once you've gained enough speed. It's a cool prototype!

Awesome work in 3D! Super ambitious, and I can see this being super fun with just a little more work done on the "game" side. Great foundation to build a Wipeout-in-space type game

Visually it's great, and I love the atmosphere. Pretty hard to steer. Also I recognize that opengameart cc0 background music (I used the same for main menu). :D

I had fun playing the demo. Shooting was fun but I wish there was more reason to shot. Thanks for taking on a 3D game for the jam, it's a refreshing change from many of the 2D top down or platformer games (my game was a 2D platformer).

Nice prototype. Doing a 3D jam game is ambitious!

Cool little demo, graphics look great! Did you have an black hole themed idea in the race?

Developer(+1)

Yeah, the idea was to keep jumping between the rings to stay ahead of the black hole, but I couldn't implement it in a way that didn't look ridiculous so it's kind if half-finished haha...

Graphics looks great, although I can't quite figure out what I'm supposed to do in it! The sounds are nice. I don't see any credits -- are them original?

Developer

Yeah I'm adding a credits page as soon as I can! Don't worry! Most sounds are cc0 from opengameart!

Very sharp looking! I liked the controls and the sound gave it a nice vibe. Just not a lot of game to play, but like you said it's a demo/prototype.

Mouse sensitivity was way too low and I don't get why sometimes I couldn't move forward. I really like all the space debris and the ship model is cool. This could be a fun precision racing game if the timer was a little tighter. Maybe instead of a countdown clock you could see the black hole expanding in your rear view mirror.

Edit: Okay I just noticed the fuel gauge, that's a really neat mechanic actually. I like the music and sound effects too.

I have the same experience as Aemetta.  I have trackball mouse and in the first moment I thought that mouse input isn't working ;)

Another one where my laptop just can't handle it. I'll have another go when I'm on the desktop.
