As some of the others have also mentioned, a bit of guidance at the start of the game would be helpful. I had to read the comments first to understand what to do, but once I got it, I was able to play a few levels.

The colors were used. The controls could maybe be a bit smoother, though I noticed you supported a lot of controllers—that’s a nice touch! The theme was incorporated, and the custom art is always great to see the effort of the creator.

Overall, a solid effort, and you managed to deliver a game for the jam. With some updates based on everyone’s feedback, this could turn into a really fun game. So keep at it—great job! 😊

Ngl, it took me four tries to understand what I was supposed to do. :D

First of all, congratulations on creating something playable! That’s already a significant milestone. However, your mechanics could use some refinement. Here are a few points I’d like to highlight for improvement:

  1. Character disappearing to the left: When I moved to the left, my character disappeared. It seems like the floor has an edge, and the character falls forever.
  2. Wall climbing issue: On the other side, I was able to climb the wall by jumping repeatedly until I reached the other side. When I tried this with the ghost, it spun uncontrollably. Adding borders with simple collisions could resolve this issue. Additionally, the player controller could use some tweaking to improve overall behavior.
  3. In-game tutorials: Consider adding tutorials directly in the game. For example, when a player reaches an interactive area, display a prompt like "Press E to interact." This would make it easier for players to understand what to do next.

Take this feedback as a way to help you grow on your journey as a game developer. And don’t forget: you finished something! That’s already a huge achievement—far more than many people ever accomplish. Keep it up, and good luck on your next steps!

First of all it looks like a fun game, but either i don't understand it or it does not fully work.

Some small issues i found is that the  character can run off screen to be never found again. So can the ghost but since it flies that works out okay and might even be intended.

One of my pet peeves is to always include a web build for people for better playing, in this case doubly so because my virus scanner initially quarantined your game. I did an another scan to make sure it was a false positive and i guess it is. But a web build would prevent that.

One other thing is if you make your game full screen please include an exit button, its so messy to have to crtr alt f4 a game to exit

I'm a little confused on something. Sometimes, it sends me back to the menu and I am not sure why. This last time, I think I pressed Q while the ghost was on the door at level 1.

Right off the bat I'm impressed by the intro logo and title screen because it gave me vibes of an old Newgrounds flash game. Cute hidden message when I entered the code too, albeit I had to restart the game after entering it.

I'm impressed by how functional the controls are. Right off the bat, several controllers including DualShocks are natively supported. My main problem with the game is the sheer lack of polish otherwise. The script could use a large overhaul as it is riddled with typos, and the hidden message system should have an option to return to the title screen.

I was unable to finish this game last night due to the lack of a checkpoint system, but there's a real charm here.  With a few more days of polish, this could be quite neat. Congratulations on getting everything out the door.

Thanks!, also, the script has made on the total desorganization, the game changed too many times while i has programing, like the first game would be a solving mysteries game called "GhosTheory", the only thing that came from this to the finished game has the ghost, thanks for playing anyway!

Get that. My game went from the contrast between an internet celeb's "perfect" life and her real life to a game about a teen getting sucked into a retro platformer and quarreling with her overprotective mom.
