Total mapping time:
20h - I spend the last hour just finding misalligned textures. Than the timer rang (so there should be quite some bad texture alignment)... Than it took me another hour to take screenshots, making that itch.io page nice & fixing google chrome's file open dialog ;)

Did the monster count limit present an interesting design challenge?
Yes. And it will help me in future projects, to really think about what you want to put into your map.

Any suggestions for future DOOM mapping jams?
I like the 20h limit. Perhaps crispy doom for a bit less limits?

Interesting map! It's sort of exploratory even if there's really only a path to follow. I like how you teleport to zones with a different "feeling" to get each one the keys.

It's not completely clear to me why the exterior is damaging, but the rad suits at the doors make it pretty clear even before you step out and take damage for the first time. XD

it's space ^ ^

I like the idea of the fact you are going outside and you need a radsuit that act likes a spacesuit.

Really really cool map- loved the visual variety and the teleportation, really succeeding at making it feel like I was bouncing between different environments despite being on the same map.

The only issue I ran into was that the three doors with the switches behind them, the ones that need the Red, Yellow, and Blue keys, left me confused- it took me a while to understand that they were three different doors and not just one long one. So when I tried the leftmost one and saw "You need a red key," I assumed that whole area needed me to come back later. That tripped me up a bit.

Once I realized that though it all flowed really well, really loved this level!

Thx, I will add some extra textures to make that clearer.

Now it's clear, isn't it?

Yeah that makes it way clearer!

So cool! The environments are really expressive and the trickery is just enough to keep me on my toes. I played on old school software rendering so I didn't see the cool colored lightning from the screens, but it still looked very nice. Top notch work.
