the controls were tricky to figure out at first, but once i got it i loved the graphics and animation :) also i like the "mortal combat" sort of take on the theme :) good job
Unfortunately I don't have a second person to play with so I tried it out solo, but it seems quite good. I liked the character art and the pre-fight quips at each others. The also liked the uniqueness of each character's moves. My biggest suggestion would be to reduce how much the characters slide on the floor, as it made everything feel less precise and controlled. Other than that, some sound effect or animation when you hit another player would be nice. But overall, great work! I'd love to play this with another player when I get the chance.
the superpowers are so funny like building the wall
I liked the idea
but the game is filled with problems and errors
it's really a good one
Funny game with a tad awkward controls, must be fun with multiple people though
Thanks for reviewing the game! I'll make sure to check out your submission and leave a review and comment!
And yeah, unfortunately we weren't able hone the keyboard controls cause of time constraints. Also we intend to add a cpu character so that the game can be played alone, but currently it is almost exclusively a two player experience.
Really cool graphical style, the menus looked great and I loved the spritework! The dialogue between characters was a clever touch too. The method for selecting player 2 was a bit odd, making that a bit more clear would be my only suggestion.
Thanks for checking out the game! And yeah, selecting a second player through a different input is definitely something that we are looking into, we sort of ran out of time with everything else we were trying to cram into the launch. Thanks for the feedback!
sorry, I couldn't open the Mac version, said it was damaged. I'll try the Windows version when I have access to a Windows computer.
In the meantime, I'd appreciate it if you could play & rate my game as well! :)
Darn, I've had trouble building Mac versions of games in the past and I have no way of testing them. Sorry it didn't work right. I hope you have a good time with the windows version, make sure to find a friend to play it with!
And of course I'll check out your game! I'll make sure to leave a comment and review.
all good! Windows version worked! The UI is a little messed up, making it hard to press buttons (I think because the resolution is too big?). Character sprites and animation are really cool, as is the combat! Controls are a little awkward but I guess you get used to them. Good work overall!
The resolution should be forced to 1080p on the current version we have hosted on itch.io cause we ran into similar issues with the UI haha. You might be playing an earlier build if you grabbed the files before the submissions were closed. We kinda threw that build into itch at the last second.
Regardless thanks for playing!
