The presentation with this game is incredible! Really appreciate the story cutscene at the start, it adds so much character. The experience was so smooth and the UI is very nicely designed as well!

While it was challenging to get used to the controls, this is a fun battle game.

Although you can choose different modes, I would've liked to see situations where each of the modes was relevant during combat.

Good modelling work! I like the props and the enemy and player character design.

Definitely a challenging and tricky game! Took me quite a few tries to get to the end.

The part with the traffic felt very luck-based. It was pretty unsatisfying to get launched off the map and need to start back at the checkpoint.

Overall, there were a lot of fakeouts, but it was cool learning how to get past them and getting further with each attempt.

I really liked how the controls were introduced as you started the level. The level design itself was nice too, it was good to start with simple challenges to help the player understand the controls, and then move on to tougher challenges.

One thing I was confused about was why you had to activate the mode cartridges once you got them. I only experienced one situation where it was beneficial for me not to activate it until later. I think the waiting concept has some potential though.

I think this game had a great approach to the theme! Once I understood the controls the gameplay was very intuitive. I really enjoyed trying to hunt down all of the loot!

One thing that surprised me was that the red layer squares, which I thought were enemies, don't actually do anything to you other than follow you. I expected the player to take damage or get sent back to the beginning. Although I did think it was cool how they were visible on multiple layers.

I had a good time exploring the map as well.

This game was fun to play. I liked the randomized enemy placements and modes, I think that meshes well with the theme. It was really cool to have different objectives at different points in the game.

I did notice that sometimes you could randomly reroll the same mode you played in the previous round. I think, especially given the total time length of one game, it would be nice if each round was a different mode from the previous round.

I also feel like the modes are a little unbalanced in terms of point value. In the deathmatch mode you earn as many points as you collect flags, but in most other modes the entire objective only gives you 1 point. This made my final score feel a bit like a luck of the draw.

I really liked discovering what different modes were available, and it definitely took some skill to dodge all the bullets!

This was a fun fast-paced survival game! I really enjoyed how hard mode added increased enemy variety, it felt rewarding to try out the different difficulty levels. I also like the variety in the upgrades, so the player can explore different builds.

I do feel like it was more difficult than I expected to gain money in hard mode. I think especially with the faster and higher-damaging enemies, I felt like I had much less time to get any upgrades before my health got low.

Additionally, I think it would be nice if there was a visual indicator of where enemies will spawn in, since enemies can spawn even when you are close to a spawn point.

Overall, I liked playing this game, and it had some good replayability.

This is a nice, concise game! I think the graphics could use a little bit of a tune-up, and some music might be nice, but I like the sound effects. Functionality is polished, I didn't experience any issues playing.

I liked the 'False Alarm' scene that plays when you duck. This is definitely an interesting concept, with lots of room to expand. I'd be interested in seeing a walking animation or more interaction with the environment in future versions.

This is a good start. Some sound effects or music would be a welcome improvement. Also, I think perhaps the game should pause or wait when you lose, as the game restarts so quick I can barely read the 'you crashed' message.

The gameplay feels very relevant to events that took place during the Cold War, but it definitely still needs some tweaking. Some music would also be good to liven up the experience. The graphics are very good though, keep it up.

Very well put together game. Fun to play and very relevant the Cold War theme. I had a little trouble with putting away items if I tried to use them in the wrong place, but I experienced no other issues. It was a great experience uncovering new things. It would be great to see more of this in the future.

I enjoyed the game! Because it moves a bit slowly, I got a bit tired of the music after a while, but it is good. Either the AI is pretty tough, or I am not so great. It definitely feels like some thinking ahead and more complex strategy is required. The graphics are on the simpler side but for a game like this it totally works.

Fantastic gameplay! The graphics are just great and the concept is executed very well. The music goes along very nicely with the tone and didn't get old. It bothered me a little bit that the game didn't pause and everyone continued moving when I talked to people, though.

This game was really fun to play. It definitely felt harder playing as the USSR, despite the gameplay being very similar between sides, which was good. I definitely did not have a very good grasp of how all the points worked, but I like how it uses the different types of points, it reminds me of a board game. It was an enjoyable experience trying to play as fast as possible. The only weird thing I noticed was that when I played as the USSR, I won on easy in only a few launches because the US ran out of pride. I am unsure if this was a bug or not, but it ended the game fairly early so it seemed a bit odd.

I like the use of music as the theme, as its an unorthodox but very interesting subject when it comes to the Cold War. It's not very polished in the realm of technical errors, but this is understandable given the timeframe. However, especially considering music and entertainment seems important to this game, the sound effects need some more development. The long stretch of record sounds after collecting the music disc was somewhat hard to listen to. Nonetheless, going around the level collecting items reminiscent of entertainment in the Cold War Era was fun.

Yeah we will make sure to throw together a version of the game with better UI scaling. I actually only realized this was an issue with like 30 minutes left to upload the game for the jam and begin to panic, haha. I forced it to 60fps and 1080p resolution in code and it fixed it for my 2k monitor, but perhaps if you go lower than 1080p, instead of above like I had, my fix doesn't work.

Oh, sorry, I didn't see there was more to your comment. The problem is without a doubt your resolution. The game is setup to render at 1920x1080. I need to figure out how to scale the resolution better to fix this issue. Thanks for reporting it!

Oh boy, that ain't right, haha! What is the resolution of your monitor? I can almost guarantee that bug is caused by some sort of resolution scaling.

The resolution should be forced to 1080p on the current version we have hosted on itch.io cause we ran into similar issues with the UI haha. You might be playing an earlier build if you grabbed the files before the submissions were closed. We kinda threw that build into itch at the last second.

Regardless thanks for playing!

Thanks for reviewing the game! I'll make sure to check out your submission and leave a review and comment!

And yeah, unfortunately we weren't able hone the keyboard controls cause of time constraints. Also we intend to add a cpu character so that the game can be played alone, but currently it is almost exclusively a two player experience.

Thanks for checking out the game! And yeah, selecting a second player through a different input is definitely something that we are looking into, we sort of ran out of time with everything else we were trying to cram into the launch. Thanks for the feedback!

AWESOME! More bonk is always a blessing!

An interesting click-adventure game that has you heroically escaping the clutches of one of the most repressive state security agencies ever to exist.

Darn, I've had trouble building Mac versions of games in the past and I have no way of testing them. Sorry it didn't work right. I hope you have a good time with the windows version, make sure to find a friend to play it with!

And of course I'll check out your game! I'll make sure to leave a comment and review.

Really enjoyed the artwork. The digging mechanic was fantastic and I think there is something there to be expounded upon should you continue working on the game. The thrill of sneaking up on an unsuspecting soldier, digging the ground out from beneath him and bonking him on the head was legendary.

Fun arcade style shooter. Dual cameras was an interesting inclusion. Controls were intuitive and gameplay was accessible. Music and sound effects were great as well.
