Ranked from 16 ratings. Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.

Historical Accuracy
A game set in the early 1960s, during the height of the Cold War. The CIA is carrying out Operation Mongoose, a plan set out to eliminate Fidel Castro, the head of state of Cuba, and undermine its anti-American and Soviet-friendly government.

Thematic Relevance
The game is about the many ways the CIA tried to assassinate Fidel Castro during Operation Monogoose. In our timeline, none of them were successful, but the player might change that!

I was laughing through every failure.

I've never been set up to fail more splendidly than in this one. 10/10 execution!

- I mean, look at this! Stunning!

- Was this a typo, or intentional? The sounds they made while speaking made me chuckle throughout.

- Oh, how cruel was it to have some hope of actually managing to find the pill in time! The other mini-games didn't make me hope nearly as much!

It was fun to get through it, and would be cool to see an expansion of it where you as a Player can do a lot more during each "mini-game". Thanks for making this, and for sharing it with us!

I don't know if it is possible to kill Castro in this game. I failed in all my attempts, Telling the story of the improbable and ludcris attemps to kill this dictator/great leader is the most important contribution of this game in my opinion. Besides it is a really well made game with both humour and style!

Really enjoyed playing your game! Gave it several runs, and managed to poison and snipe him. Besides my small victories, Comandante survived so many times and died peacefully :-D Which is historically totally accurate - so that is that.

Here my list of what makes your game so unique and special in my eyes:

  • So many coherent content in such a short time, most impressive!
  • The careful, unique orchestration and execution of each minigame
  • About the execution: most Jammers have good ideas of what they would like to achive, but actually getting there, bringing all the pieces together in the right way, this is a skill only very few master to your degree
  • You being a solo dev  with great artistic skills AND developing by using  your own framework - a rare combination only very few can call their own. big bonus:  hand-drawn art, good animations and web tech stack as a foundation

Thanks for your entry and for your encouraging words in Discord during the Jam!

Brilliant! Loved the dark humor, the comedic timing, the fast-paced minigames.

Really digging the game! The art style and sound design mesh together in a humorous way that I'm totally into. The concept of minigames as the player's lives is super cool – loving that twist (Castro died of old age).

Great work!

Really enjoyed this. Burst out laughing several times - great sense of humour and very slick use of the assets. I can't vote unfortunately but great job!!
